Waiting for Windows 10 to finish update to new version. These days a clean install only takes about an hour for me....BIG improvement over 8.1  IMO.

I keep Linux Deepin on my little old Dell 10 inch notebook. I used to have Debian OR Deepin on ALL my computers till Windows10  technical preview came out.  I just had to do a fresh install of Deepin 15.  No way to update from previous version other than clean install.  Deepin 15 is nice, no more ubuntu base, debian now in 15.  Good move IMO, and all HTML5.

Morning Gravity
I actually started with the first linux kernal prior to the GUI's. I went with Redhat, then Mandrake/Mandriva but discovered Ubuntu. Great Server and good updates. The firewall (Smoothwall) is actually a Debian diriv. It does what I need so I stick with it. I really got tired of Microsoft charging so much for an OS. I wouldn't be using Winders 10 if it wasn't free lol. I also like that I can just change a file in a text editor to make changes. Lots better than using C or some other language then compiling to change a windows file. And a whole lot better then using binary like we learned in school.  ;D

I was going to make the jump to Ubuntu because of Window$ 8, but by the time I got serious, Windows 10 was on the horizon. I am running a 10 year old Gateway that started out with Vista (bought it as a refurb) now running 7 Pro. I've been afraid to upgrade that machine to 10. It works, and all I use it for is storing my iTunes library and paying bills(and skype for the GabCast.  Maybe I will do a full backup and upgrade it this weekend.

It's got some type of nagging HW issue that I have lived with for a long time, almost as long as I've had it. i think the chip gets hot at times... The fan comes on at full speed for a few minutes and then it reboots. And the CMOS battery is dead... When I lose power I have to reset the clock to tell it that it is no longer 1995.

Crap, I'm still running Office 2007. I have a copy off Office 2010, but never installed it.

When I was working, I always had a high end laptop I could take home.

One day I will make a jump to Ubuntu and OpenOffice. I tried to set up a dual boot Windows 10/Ubuntu last summer at my old job but kept having problems so I gave up.

I generally just use my iPad these days.

The plumbers pipes always leak.

I had an old Dell laptop that came with Win7, I think. Probably had less memory than my new 'smart' phone but it wasn't being used so wiped the drive and installed LinuxMint. It works like a charm for the intended purpose (mainly to watch movies, photos, check Bellgab, email, etc.) There also are "office-like" programs but I do that stuff on my desktop. I know nothing about Linux programming but it works good and doesn't take up much space.

Yes, it just started snowing here about a half an hour ago.

We are getting snow tonight too. Just paid to have our guest house driveway plowed out, from last week's snow. Should of checked 'your' weather report first and waited until tomorrow.

Oh well ...that's what happens when mind is in the clouds dreaming  of sweet  things. Glad to see you back brig, missed you.

Could be a side effect.  That H bomb also triggered a 5 pointer in NK.
