Okay...as a companion piece to the Art Bell Quits Dark Matter thread--a much better thread, as Art has basically re-started Dark Matter with his announcement today that he is going full speed ahead with a return this July.

Now can we work on the show's title. I think it has too many negative connotations to the Sirius days.

From Art's Message--it looks like he's keeping Dark Matter as the title. It doesn't bother me since that show in the end is leading us to right now.

I believe the name got a very good response.. alot. Of stuff from Arts parts sold good with the name, and I remember him mentioning the response on the air once

Ah, nice...nice seeing that posted on Art's site. Definitely keeping the Dark Matter name...makes sense as his site is called Dark Matter too. And the name is already semi-established.

I guess I never liked the name and it never grew on me. It's picking though as the content was great.

Since this is an "Art re-start" thread--any ideas on how best to re-start Dark Matter? How best to promote it? What should be in it? Maybe we all can BRAINSTORM some.

I already had the suggestion that Art really crank up his Twitter...exploit that.

Im going to make some fliers on how to get access to him and what not and out them up at my local truck stop.

I may ask some of the Lot Lizards to pass em out to.

Maybe art can advertise a cheap mobile device that can access the stream so that drivers/old people and such aren't intimidated by the new way..

Someone on the gab cast suggested that he starts to crank out posts on Facebook, Twitter and ArtBell.com and I agree. He really needs to put himself in the spotlight again. He shouldn't wait until the show starts to build an audience. He should be building it now. The best way to build it is to post and post often. He needs to put himself and his point of view out there. Don't just wait until July Art.

Yes--Art can be commenting not just on his upcoming show but also giving out his takes on high strangeness and current events of the world. Start building up his brand and showing his special take on the world.

Someone, I am not a techie, at DMRN (or even if not maybe I don't know how rights work on apps) needs to make an app for live-streaming the new show particularly listing "Art Bell", "Dark Matter",""Dark City", "streaming radio", "paranormal", etc but esp with Art's name and DRMW on it (I know one can use Tune-In and others out there to listen but I think having an app out there in the Apple and Google marketplace with "Art Bell" on it might help spread the news.)

I would have preferred a different name, but whatever, he's coming back. But , he does need to get rid of the "worm hole" and "Art's parts". lol

SUCH EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!

Art definetly needs to have an app for mobile users to be able to access the show easily. Maybe add in a timer/alarm feature in the app to alert the user when the show is about to start, etc,etc,etc.
