Much hand-wringing and talk of how France, and Western countries in general, need to be more inclusive and understanding of others. Maybe calls for more immigration and outreach to Islam and especially to the immigrant fifth-column already ensconced in many of our cities. Likely a lot of candle-lite marches and hand-holding and gestures. Of course, the usual politicians talking about togetherness and politically-correct speeches calling for acceptance of Islam and accommodation for all.

Or, on the other hand, people will wake up and start voting for lesser known parties, like the 'Front national pour l'unité française' and others, and start holding politicians to account for their dastardly immigration policy and demand they start looking after the citizens of their country first and start protecting borders, dealing with the malcontent immigrants already inside the borders, and get tough on terrorism and criminals. Or even people and group taking things on with more direct action if the politicians won't listen or protect them.

Nah, maybe with some fire-brand rhetoric by the usual suspects in politics and AM radio but it won't actually cause any political change, lend any credence to what should be basic logic of controlling the border or immigration, or change foreign policy. The US is large, the world is larger, and there are killings and mass murders everyday. We have a very short attention span and unless personally, directly effected we really won't spend too much time on it. Maybe some internet memes and nice speeches about diversity. Maybe some more gun sales and maybe some, at least attempted, copy-cat incidents by our Muslims but that is about it.

Why stop there? We need a total police state and not with CCTVs! That is outdated technology and will not keep us safe from Christians! CCTV is in place already and, at best, we get images after the attacks and killings (like we saw after the killings by Christian radicals in Paris yesterday.) CCTV is too slow and an "after the fact, build a criminal case" technology. We need live streaming cameras in all religious, political, public, and private buildings including in people's homes and property in addition to a live-stream of any financial or banking activity and all purchases made and up-to-the-second monitoring of movement of persons. And surely a ban on religion, guns, speech, and assembly without prior government approval, and a vetting of any movie, book, television show if not an outright ban unless produced by a government studio. And a throttling of the internet and pre-screening for any website, email, or data transfer by proper authorities before dissemination.
