Anybody else wonder how many more of these shenanigans it will take before Art just says "fuck it" and throws in the towel.  Why subject himself to this when he had already built an empire from the ground up and proven himself?  Now he gives unknown hosts a bit of help at the start and (some) basically give him the finger.

And maybe, Art being Art, will do it his way.  Give the whole faithless world the finger and 'cast it his way.  Like it, Love it, Listen.  Don't dig what he's laying down?  Go suck on the black hole that is Jorch and the fallen.

I agree that George probably doesn't think Jimmy could replace him. Heck, Clear Channel/iFartRadio/WhateverTheHellsItsNamed probably doesn't think so either. But Jimmy might. Maybe instead of the next Art, he's gunning to be the next Noory in his own mind.

Bateman's point about conquering the competition through acquisition made me think. What's the real future of Coast? Do they let it keep declining because it fills time? Do they even care, or are they riding it out until it's replaced by political talk for truckers?

Say what you will about Noory's product, but the dude is getting paid. If all you look at is the paycheck, he's making out.

I have heard from sources who would know that Noory's annual contract is worth $4M.  So I would agree with this sentiment.  Regardless of if you like him or not, like his work or not, someone thinks he's worth a lot, and it's working for him.  Though whenever I hear his plug for, "We need another 2500 Facebook followers this month!" I can't help but think it's the higher-ups testing him to see if he can pull it off.

That audio gave me the creeps. How can people not know they are being lied to? I admit to enjoying a few of his earlier shows, but no matter how much I liked it loyalty comes first. And none of these people are close to Art or the way he held my interest. I still would rather listen to old Art shows than anything new, and that's saying something.

Noory hosts the first Sunday of the month.
The 2nd Sunday used to be John Wells and before him Ian Punnett, so its an open guest host slot now (for auditions?)
