Ahhhh, the ubiquitous Quits thread.! No one can escape it's influence.  I see I have some reading to catch up on.
What's new, I lost my sanity 3 days ago.
Sleep is over rated anyway.

A few more fights in the playground, Jorch is now on Sirius on Art's old channel, he also dropped in to tell us "don't shoot the messenger", Art told us Sirius won't release him from the NC but he's looking at challenging it, the other AB, Aldous has left us again and ran for the border.  I'm sure I'm leaving out some things.  You know, just another rip in the time-space continuum.

Ok...I didn't exactly understand all that....So George reached out unsolicited to help you and because of Art Bell you told him to go get screwed. I'm confused.

Noory asked me if I wanted him to help with paying for my glasses.

I first said it would compromise me in that I'd been giving him so much hell of late.

Then I thought that if he helped me I could pay him back and that would be the only way I would accept his help.

And someone said that if I did so, it would allow Noory to sort of blackmail me for it and I got to thinking about it and was going to send him an email retracting my acceptance when the news hit about Noory taking over Art's channel ( as far as I am concerned he did anyway ).

It also bugged the hell out of me that he never replied to my emails yet sent me the one he did. I never asked him for help and still wonder what prompted it out of the blue.

But ... I have a high sense of honor or duty or both. I don't fuck over my friends and acquaintences like Noory does.
So I told him what he did was unethical, reprehensible and more.
He totally ignored that but probably reacted somehow to my saying so, thus his angry email to me.

I am. It's been hanging around the back yard for a month, and the temps are dipping to 17 tonight so I trapped it and brought it in. Turned out well, it's sawing off logs in the warm garage and didn't bite me once during the process. Guess I'll have a second cat now.

I guess "Jorchy" is off-the-table now for the little kitties name.    Nice you're taking care of the little critter, though.

It sounds to me Falkie that George Noory truly is a power hungry mother f***er.  Hosting one of the biggest radio programs around just isn't enough for him. He's an ego maniac with poor self esteem issues.

.... I make a big chunk of my living off of terrestrial radio song royalties but things are changing fast with all this new technology. It takes a while for the technology to spread out to everyone. In music, Dj's are almost a thing of the past, so a niche like Art has will only be growing as the right technology expands to the masses.

Xitheron, do you know anything about song royalties for DVDs.  I've been pissed I can't get decent DVDs of "WKRP in Cincinnati" due to the apparent difficulties of restrictions with the songs of the day having been played on the shows.  Hell, they even have problems apparently with Jennifer's door bell music.  Damn door bells.

good for you. i feed 8. costs me $ 60 a month plus the occasional wet food. fluffy and fuzzy get wet food every day.

tonight the outdoor kitties will get some of my turkey i cooked. if i had a way to either adopt them all or find them homes i would.

the kitty will give you even more love for rescuing it. hope it gets along with the other kitty.

I know this change from 'waiting on lawyer' to 'it's now just working out the details with SXM' was brought up earlier in the thread, but I am surprised it's not getting more attention.

It means:
1.) Art has finally received a response from SXM.
2.) It was not a flat out 'No, good riddance.'
3.) SXM is open to meeting Art's request in some form or fashion if they are 'just working out the details'.

.....Or it could mean the exact same thing as the first message, but just different verbiage. Who the hell knows, but I do think it's a positive change in tone at the very least.

if any deal with Sirius is off the table, Art needs to make sure the message on the site is updated to reflect that.

enough of the false hope already.
