Probably for the first time since the inception of this forum, you might just get a receptive audience for that statement.  Luckily for Art, his suckage isn't enough to fill an entire Compendium.
Usagi has spoken. The people have heard. So let it be.

If Art comes back... here's the possible names for the new show:

1. Black Hole (because this sucks)

2. Singularity (the number of listeners)

3. I shot myself in the foot and had to move to the Philippines to do this shitty podcast

That is all.

Did you listen to the darkness radio guy hosting coast? He did a fine job. Almost, well, Art like. You're right that's it's going to take longer than a few weeks but you've got to start somewhere. Hell Jim Harold is good too. And I'm saying we need one host. Why not bring in multiple hosts and go from there?

Not a bad idea. I for one do hope that Sirius continues on with another, more hungry host during this timeslot. Maybe one host 4 days a week, and other Fridays, Saturday & Sunday.

What is going to happen to this forum? The desire for Art to come back will mostly be dead.

And remember to support George Noory. He's the better broadcaster because he BROADCASTS!
I don't like you. I tried last night to listen to Dave and it just wasn't happening. The days of night time talk radio are over. What we should be doing is contacting Sirius and suggesting potential replacements for Art.

Yeah, it's time for some new blood. MV? Wanna take a crack at this?

I'm going to listen to George's show tonight. It's been a long time since I listened to a live C2C show.
I'm curious to see if I notice any changes in his style or well he be the same dude he was months ago. Clueless and unengaged.
Bleh... George Noory. Just leave your hair freaking grey George. The ladies love an intelligent man with grey hair... well, never mind George keep on doing that terrible jet black dye job. Don't forget the eyebrows  ;D

What did Sirius do wrong? They aren't perfect but 99% of this is on Art.

I'm with this... SiriusXM did absolutely nothing wrong.  They promoted the hell out of Art's return.

Here's one reason I think all this happened.. Art made himself FAR too accessible.  A combination of people with bad internet connections, and people who don't support SiriusXM's business model (you know, pay for content") were probably contacting Art via email, and complaining.

Art took it all to heart and figured that was everybody, when it was probably a very vocal minority... who had his email address.

Again, I never had a single problem with the App.

I hope DarkMatter stays on SiriusXM, and if need be, uses a new host.  I agree with the Darkness Radio guy (I heard him on Coast a few weeks back), and Jim Harrold, would both be perfect.

10 signs for spotting a sociopath:

#1) Sociopaths are charming. Sociopaths have high charisma and tend to attract a following just because people want to be around them. They have a "glow" about them that attracts people who typically seek guidance or direction. They often appear to be sexy or have a strong sexual attraction. Not all sexy people are sociopaths, obviously, but watch out for over-the-top sexual appetites and weird fetishes.

#2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes erratic things that most regular people wouldn't do. They are unbound by normal social contracts. Their behavior often seems irrational or extremely risky.

#3) Sociopaths are incapable of feeling shame, guilt or remorse. Their brains simply lack the circuitry to process such emotions. This allows them to betray people, threaten people or harm people without giving it a second thought. They pursue any action that serves their own self interest even if it seriously harms others. This is why you will find many very "successful" sociopaths in high levels of government, in any nation.

#4) Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences. They wildly exaggerate things to the point of absurdity, but when they describe it to you in a storytelling format, for some reason it sounds believable at the time.

#5) Sociopaths seek to dominate others and "win" at all costs. They hate to lose any argument or fight and will viciously defend their web of lies, even to the point of logical absurdity.

#6) Sociopaths tend to be highly intelligent, but they use their brainpower to deceive others rather than empower them. Their high IQs often makes them dangerous. This is why many of the best-known serial killers who successfully evaded law enforcement were sociopaths.

#7) Sociopaths are incapable of love and are entirely self-serving. They may feign love or compassion in order to get what they want, but they don't actually FEEL love in the way that you or I do.

#8) Sociopaths speak poetically. They are master wordsmiths, able to deliver a running "stream of consciousness" monologue that is both intriguing and hypnotic. They are expert storytellers and even poets. As a great example of this in action, watch this interview of Charles Manson on YouTube.

#9) Sociopaths never apologize. They are never wrong. They never feel guilt. They can never apologize. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack.

#10) Sociopaths are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth merely because they say it! Charles Manson, the sociopathic murderer, is famous for saying, "I've never killed anyone! I don't need to kill anyone! I THINK it! I have it HERE! (Pointing to his temple.) I don't need to live in this physical realm..."

How to dispel illusion and get to the truth
Sociopaths are masters at weaving elaborate fictional explanations to justify their actions. When caught red-handed, they respond with anger and threats, then weave new fabrications to explain away whatever they were caught doing.

A sociopath caught red-handed with a suitcase full of cash he just stole, for example, might declare he had actually rescued the money from being stolen by someone else, and that he was attempting to find its rightful owner. He's the hero, see? And yet, in reality, he will simply pocket the money and keep it. If you question him about the money, he will attack you for questioning his honesty.

Sociopaths are masters are presenting themselves as heroes with high morals and philosophy, yet underneath it they are the true criminal minds in society who steal, undermine, deceive, and often incite emotional chaos among entire communities. They are masters at turning one group of people against another group while proclaiming themselves to be the one true savior. Wherever they go, they create strife, argument and hatred, yet they utterly fail to see their own role in creating it. They are delusional at so many levels that their brains defy logical reasoning.

You cannot reason with a sociopath. Attempting to do so only wastes your time and annoys the sociopath.

Don't bother. I listened last night thinking maybe he'll be more energized and engaged knowing that many of us who gave up listening to him when Art came back would be tuning in. Nope. Same old Dave. For the first time in a while I fell asleep before 1 am.

PS: Here's the List
Boy, do you FIT!

The guy or girl you’re dating might be a psychopath if…

1. They reek of glibness and superficial charm.

If a guy comes across as too good to be true, he probably is. Psychopaths are GREAT at preying on the emotionally needy, whether they be men or women. For women reading: If he’s EVERYTHING you’ve ever looked for in a man, run. Those guys don’t really exist. Same for guys.

2. Has a grandiose sense of self worth.

Is he/she kind of full of himself or always talking about how they’re “Better” than those around them?

3. Pathological lying

Do they lie easily and convincingly? If caught in a lie do they just segue smoothly into ANOTHER lie or make you feel like you’re the one who’s wrong?

4. Extremely cunning and manipulative.

Psychopaths see other people as about as useful as your average chair.

5. Total lack of remorse or guilt.

6. Shallow Affect

Very little genuine emotion. Laughter seems forced. Prone to anger in short bursts.

7. Callousness

Doesn’t seem to care about others at all. Able to kick a puppy in the face and then complain about stubbing his toe.

8. Unable to respect responsibility for his / her own actions.

9. Hyper-ADHD and a need for stimulation at all times.

10. Extremely promiscuous.

Just because somebody is promiscuous doesn’t mean they’re a psychopath, but all psychopaths are kind of sluts.

11. Parasitic Lifestyle

Do they constantly find ways for YOU to pay for everything? Do they always have an excuse not to pony up money? Do they live off their long-suffering parents?

12. Lack of realistic long term goals

Always looking for “the big break,” or becoming a big movie star when they can’t even hold down a position.

I do seem to remember that he had a 160m meter antenna that covered the better part of a couple of acres. That would pick up a lot of ambient EM.

However, I'm a systems engineer not an electrical engineer... so your take on it is better than mine. My thinking on it is informed by 30 year old electronics training. Even as an Amateur Extra I rarely get into the issues surrounding this.

Art claims that he is somewhat of an expert about electronics and most ham operators knows enough about electronics that you can pretty much depend on what they say about electricity is probably on the up and up. But Art doesn't seem to have a clue. As it had taken Art a number of times connecting up a bunch of radios which died after he connected them to his array before he finally figured out that maybe his array is blowing out all of his radios.

I've seen slow people before. But even any half wit replacing a bulb for the second time because the first replacement instantly blown would think maybe it isn't the bulbs that is the problem. But not Art, he has to blow 4 more bulbs (in his case radios) before he gets it.

Toxic Fluid

OH NO!  HERE WE GO AGAIN! :-\
When I told the XM guys Art left and so am I they hung up on me and refused to cancel my subscription.
I called them back and gave them a piece of my mind.  They hung up on me again so I gues i will have to change my card number so when they try to renew on the old card it will fail.  I hate having to do that because of the SCHMUCKS at XM.  I think I will post their telephone number on the next bathroom stall I visit.

Art should have delegated the social networking aspect from the beginning. He barely posted on either FB or twitter. Get a young comminications major to do it. These days you need a reliable presence on thone platforms, unfortunately. That's the way you build a younger fan base now.

I bet there is a lot of stories that could be told of George and what goes on behind the scenes.
I'd always have a laugh when George would have nights where he'd gave away some books from guests.
Those poor books never cracked a page in the hands of George.
If only he even read a few chapters... ffs dude prepare a little bit!!
Also doing this as long as George has (NightHawk.. ha ha) doesn't he have any acquired knowledge through experience to shoot the shit with and challenge guests?
I dislike when guests go on a lecture rant. For example John Hogue haha. That dude needs a moderator because if there was no one to do so I swear he'd never stop talking... about himself.

Didn't take long for the trolls and fake accounts to pop up.

This is the last post I am making in this thread.

I am urging all of the LONG TIME USERS to calm down and just take things in a calmer direction.

I am over all the dramatics, this whole thing stinks to high heaven but I dont think people who were clamoring for him to return should go into full on panic mode.

CHILL OUT. Don't let all these new users rile you up like they are so easily doing.

Give this a week, Art is an emotional person, let's see what happens after he has had time to calm down and rethink the whole situation.

He reads this forum and all the people constantly freaking out over this can't be helping. w
