Hi there, I am now on the site, I tried Yesterday but it would not take my PW, I tried to change it because I thought I might
not have remembered it correctly. Today it is taking my original PW just fine.

If it will help, I am sorry. I know many of you are angry in your usual style which I expected but there is nothing new I can say
that will make any of you feel any better. It is as I have said, I had hundreds of emails from people who tried the 30 day free
trial and were getting dropped left and right, Sirius was aware of the problem.(many of you know because you tried to
help with the error reporting)  I am sure some dropped because they did not like my show or just did not have the money, but
by far most dropped because of the drops. This was a problem that we talked to them virtually every day about and learned that
it would be a long term fix.

As I mentioned in my emails Yesterday the net effect was that my base was gone, those of you who listened to the show must
have noticed, I sure did, so I asked Sirius for a Year of free streaming or until they could fix the problem, they did offer a second
free 30 day trial but what point is there in that if people would have the same experience? Anything beyond that, they were unwilling
to do. It just did not make any sense to me that pirates were posting programs the next day and live streams were popping up all
over the place that did not even carry our commercials without anybody doing anything about it, just crazy. Why not stream until
the problem was fixed with our commercials? It was a widespread problem including here on Bell Gab, right? My thinking was and
still is that it would have drawn many more into the program, eventually becomming full subs.

I am still open to patching this up, but not without some tip of the hat to those that left because of the streaming problem, we even offered
to pay for the streaming ourselves until it could be fixed. Anyway I am here so feel free to continue to cut me up and you can be
sure I am absorbing your anger.

                                                                                                                                                         Art

Again I am truly sorry to those who got caught in this and lost any money because you bought a radio or tried the NET.

Art,

Please reconsider and give SiriusXM a little more time to work out the problems. I listen onDemand every day, because I can't be up when your show is live and I love listening to it. I know the callers might not be up to par but I could listen to you talk or give the news without any callers. Even interviews with people who are full of shit is better then nothing. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Reconsider... My life isn't complete without you in it....

Yes, I am sure that a pair of them impresses you.

Art,
Cancelling the entire show because of stream hiccups is throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
Most of us feel that this is all just a convenient excuse and an 'out' for you.  The show was great!

Why the hell would you do this?  Your explanations don't add up.
Sirius bent over backwards and was giving you everything you wanted.
Permission to 'pirate' your own show is an unreasonable demand.

Great post!

Jackstar is the sole reason for the ignore feature. Using it now.
Nothing screams "my opinion is credible!" like... oh, nevermind, anyone who cares already noticed.

Enjoy your supremacy, Chief.

Art, I agree with Philosopher.  You can get your way, in increments.  Work on Sirius, get what concessions you can as to caller and air quality, and take that to the bank and make changes.  They have been relatively reasonable, you have to be.

Please, we need a decent host on the air.  I thought you were better than in your old days, all things considered.  Let this continue!

If his heart were truly in this he'd give and take and move on with the show.  Maybe he'll think about it.

What many of you who were not involved behind the scenes do not understand is that all that was
done day after day without result. There wee many meetings and a lot of talking but in the end it was
still not resolved. I know it seemed all at once to you but trust me it was not.

                                                                                                                              Art

Art! If this was the first time you pulled this crap, this would mean something! But you have done this your whole life! You can't keep crying wolf and we will come running. Man up for once in your life!

Krazykatlady

Art, thanks for posting an explanation, but it doesn't begin to resolve my disappointment.  Why couldn't you have waited out the streaming problem, knowing that Sirius was working to fix things?  Did you give them a reasonable deadline, or did you say "fix this right now?"  Were you comparing terrestrial (free) radio to satellite radio?  That would be a mistake-trying to compare apples to oranges.  The demographics of each type of listener (and source of its revenue stream) are different.

I'm sorry you gave up so soon.  I wish you all the best in future, but I am no longer one of your fans. :(

He's right Art, crying shitwolf never works.

Can we ban Art from the site?

This is a BS response. Streaming problems? So you are going to and kill the show because a few people couldn't listen?

It's about money. The pirated channels were cutting out the ads. You said it yourself. We were all very loyal to Art. If you asked to leave the ads in the torrents & files being uploaded, most of us would have probably respected that.

If the quality of the callers was an issue, why not do a 2 hour show with maybe only a few callers, but do mostly interviews?

2 hours new show
2 hours past replay
2 hours past replay
2 hours replay of new show

Things COULD HAVE been made to work, if you only Art wanted to, but he didn't really try.

This is the age of the internet. No matter what, live streams are going to pop up. Instead of fighting them, embrace them. Do a good quality show, maybe add a few ads to pick up a bit more $$$, but carry on.

Where do we go from here?
I'm sure your phone is ringing. There's always the online option.
I'm looking forward to your next show.

What is about "Two year non-compete" that your sycophant ass seems unable to comprehend? Dude, reality check, wanna hear Art? Then convince him to man up and meet the terms of the contract he signed, and give Sirius/XM a mea culpa.

MrMajestik

Very bizarre that George and Art showed up at almost the same time and both left within moments of each other as well.

Can you even prove that there is an NCA? Links to .pdfs of scans of actual contract documents or your opinion doesn't matter.

Come on back 'ol boy!!  Art, things can only get better. As a guy that finally got to hear you life RAGING in the nightime, it was good to be apart of something big!  The websites still up and they are doing replays. As far as the caller pool goes, yeah, a lot of us Bellgabbers got on, but its because we are dedicated.  Hell, most of us helped spread the word that you were coming back.  Somethings gotta work out man. I dont know you personally, none of us do, but you have given us 6 weeks of good radio. Hiccups and all. The sundials' at high noon and were waiting on our  midnight gunslinger. Peace.

Six weeks Art, you gave them six......weeks. Then, you crap on your fans, just as soon as they don't give in to your demands. It isn't right and it isn't how decent people do business.

There will be proof if someone violates, and the other party acts on it.

NCP's are full of holes anyways.

I find it hard to believe all this was about money.  Art is well off enough to never have to work again in his life.  The whole situation just screams "lack of incentive".  He may have forgotten about the toll of late hours and on-air stress and was looking for a crack, - any crack - to jump ship.  Unfortunately, his rationale rings hollower the more it is repeated.

"I know many of you are angry in your usual style"

Art, not all here have an angry style.  I have never uttered a bad word about any of your guests or you or even George.  I have been on this site because it has been the most prolific place that has people who talk about you and your show.

Yes, there are many here who make regularly angry posts about everything.  A lot of those posts creep me out no end.  But I am here because I like and have liked you as a radio personality for years.  Even though I post often on this message board, I am not angry now, nor was I ever.  Just really sad because I love listening to you, and I am sad that I may not be able to again.  Please listen to people like me who aren't as vocal as the angry ones.  We're here too.
