Art, not all here have an angry style.  I have never uttered a bad word about any of your guests or you or even George.  I have been on this site because it has been the most prolific place that has people who talk about you and your show. 

Yes, there are many here who make regularly angry posts about everything.  A lot of those posts creep me out no end.  But I am here because I like and have liked you as a radio personality for years.  Even though I post often on this message board, I am not angry now, nor was I ever.  Just really sad because I love listening to you, and I am sad that I may not be able to again.  Please listen to people like me who aren't as vocal as the angry ones.  We're here too.

Art taking a shot at us. We were his most loyal base. We had an active forum largely about a guy who really hadn't been on the air for 10 years. And what did he do, but stab us in the back. The fact that many of us are critical is a good thing. The fact that Art was critical of many of his guests was a good thing. It was one of many things that set him about from Joorge. After 30 shows, Art ups and quits. We have a right to be angry.

Exactly, which is why whether Art returns to "broadcast" or not is completely independent from whatever kind of bullshit contract was signed.

If the listener base is there, there will be a show implemented to take advantage of it, bottom line. It has nothing to do with the pissy histrionics of people posting on an Internet message board.

Too true, pulling out of Dark Matter alienates his base - not asking for patience when it comes to hiccups with the internet stream. We're a patient bunch, hell, we waited years for this return yet Art only gave us six weeks. What do you have to say to fans who have radio equipment and heard you crystal clear four times a week? It's not fair to throw in the towel this soon when SiriusXM have promised to work on a solution, both for international listeners and any with internet only privileges. Please reconsider, Art. Unfortunately piracy is a known issue, Howard Stern torrents or channel 24/7 streams are easily found with a simple Google search. It's not ideal but a free stream of your program doesn't help SiriusXM in any way, work on the format of your show, adjust to whatever temporary shortcomings are there, and get back to raging in the nighttime like the good old days.

You quit abruptly in a way that many fans find inexcusable - you announced it on facebook, deleted your account, and allowed others to clean up the mess.

Your reasons for quitting are valid, IMO.  But there must've been (maybe still is?) some room for compromise.  Maybe Sirius could make infrastructure changes allowing the stream to work better.  There has to be some way for them to improve the stream quality without your "take it or leave it" ultimatum.

I just think this could've been handled differently and that at least some solution satisfying to both parties could be reached.

not have remembered it correctly. Today it is taking my original PW just fine.

If it will help, I am sorry. I know many of you are angry in your usual style which I expected but there is nothing new I can say
that will make any of you feel any better. It is as I have said, I had hundreds of emails from people who tried the 30 day free
trial and were getting dropped left and right, Sirius was aware of the problem.(many of you know because you tried to
help with the error reporting)  I am sure some dropped because they did not like my show or just did not have the money, but
by far most dropped because of the drops. This was a problem that we talked to them virtually every day about and learned that
it would be a long term fix.

As I mentioned in my emails Yesterday the net effect was that my base was gone, those of you who listened to the show must
have noticed, I sure did, so I asked Sirius for a Year of free streaming or until they could fix the problem, they did offer a second
free 30 day trial but what point is there in that if people would have the same experience? Anything beyond that, they were unwilling
to do. It just did not make any sense to me that pirates were posting programs the next day and live streams were popping up all
over the place that did not even carry our commercials without anybody doing anything about it, just crazy. Why not stream until
the problem was fixed with our commercials? It was a widespread problem including here on Bell Gab, right? My thinking was and
still is that it would have drawn many more into the program, eventually becomming full subs.

I am still open to patching this up, but not without some tip of the hat to those that left because of the streaming problem, we even offered
to pay for the streaming ourselves until it could be fixed. Anyway I am here so feel free to continue to cut me up and you can be
sure I am absorbing your anger.

Art, the reason everyone is upset, is there is no replacement for you.
George- Boreing mostly, stupid questions, sometimes has an interesting guest, but seems to love consperiacys, health scams and tooooomeric.
Knapp- Only decent host of the bunch, only gets on a few times a month.
Clylde- Seems to have emotional issues. Seems to talk mostly about Consperiacys.

Their is no replacement! Lots of podcasts, but they are never as good as a full blown show, don't get the same caliber of guests, don't get callers.

Yes, there is a lot of angry posts here, but I'm sure that you understand that it was a big shock. Many people react badly when hurt. And there are also many others who have taken this opportunity to come here from "elsewhere" just to bash you and insult other members here. 

As many others have said, if you should decide to come back to do a show, I'll be listening.

I commented just the other day in another thread to the effect that the idea that "people are basically good" is a laughable conceit, and that unless constrained by early moral/religious teaching along with constant instruction and life in a society which highly values those moral/religious precepts, that humans will pretty much act just like selfish swine.

I was concerned that my opinion might have been too harsh. After all, saying that humans, unconstrained by moral or religious values, will always act in their self-interest regardless of harm to others or promises to do otherwise is a very tough pill for some to swallow; and an issue about which some might certainly disagree.

There's nothing left of note. With the exception of Neil DeGrassi Tyson's radio show.
