Actually, since their money is made from selling duct tape... they'd love you. That's why my chain manufacturer brought a 5k chain cutting machine from overseas to cut chain for my 1995 20,000pc. order. That service is no longer available now, but it made my life easier in the 90's.

This is going to be one of the biggest episodes in the Art Bell universe. It could be his last official public appearance. You've been obsessed with some shit from 20 years ago. Think about what would happen for you and your fidgets if you got in on the last episode, told your story and confronted Art? This episode will be passed around Art Bell collectors for all of the future and will be largely what determines the perception of this chapter of his life for all of the future. If you're as emotional with Art as you say, this is your opportunity.

My goal is just to put it all into reasonable perspective, and move forward. People who then want to attack my character, motives, rationale, and mental health... expect that should go unchallenged.

It's just not going to happen that way.

Frankly, Bell's is absolute shit... the worst of the worst. Never try it. Ever. Do, however, try a nice single malt, it will change your mind. I really like The Macallan 18, but to be honest, the Laphroaig 10 year and Talisker 12 are both half as expensive and are just as nice.

There is a place for Bell's. Sitting in a gutter, when your home is made of card board, etc. The ones you mention are great, I like various Ardbegs also. Though if one is planning to get really drunk and drink a lot I do suggest the less peaty ones- otherwise you will wake up thinking/smelling/tasting peat all the next day no matter what you eat/drink.

That was damage control, not redress. He acknowledged none of my valid points about professionalism, and thinks he "got it handled".

The real perception has not even begun... yet.

But, yeah if he keeled over tomorrow... at least he "wished me well", you know what they say about "wishes"... they can manifest.

What is it you are after?  I have seen many ask and you have yet to give a straight-forward answer.  Do you know what it is you want?

The accurate story should be told without character degradation in the telling... analytically, what happened. Then the documentation should be examined, and conclusions drawn from that assessment. Then we all can know the facts. I know them, they have made my situation inexplicable for decades. I know that compared to many travails, the "fidget debacle" is not a big deal. But when one man has to overcome a deeply entrenched conspiracy, and does... that paper trail should be examined, not summarily dismissed.

   I learned a lot navigating this situation, and I can elucidate lessons from it that can help many people.

   Helping me do that is what I think a "professional" should do, not make me chase coattails for more than a decade to get an "I wish you well".
