Since themudking is hosting the gabcast tonight at 8 eastern, I wanted to share pictures of the boobie prize coffee mug themudking and eddie-dean sent me for getting the most incorrect picks in the Dean and King Show bellgab NFL pics.  I'm sure we are all in for a heck of a ride tonight on the gabcast, with themudking at the helm, and the recent history of events on the DMDN.  What a long list the show notes must be for tonight.

I wish Art would stop talking about how much he loves doing radio, how it's in his blood, and all that.  At any point along the way he could have had any situation he wanted.  He bailed on Coast multiple times, and quit both the recent opportunities he chose after very short runs.  If he loved it as much as he blathers about, he'd be doing it.

Hopefully the comments about trusting Art's instincts on all things radio will cease as well, although I haven't read any of that for awhile.  He's a great on air host and interviewer, and knows how to operate his equipment.  The rest, not so much.

Let me be the third to chime in. That post rubbed me the wrong way as well. I hate it when someone plays the victim card, whether it be the race card or the female card. Usually, the issue has nothing to do with race or gender, but people don't like to take responsibility for their actions or behaviors. That's not to say that there isn't racism or sexism in the world, of course there is. There are times when you're going to have to be better and brighter to get ahead in a man's world or in White society, so you do what you need to do to get ahead. Not cry about being a victim.

And PBS, you are right that it does nothing for us women or for Feminism, a word which only means equality. I think the word and it's meaning have gotten twisted over the years. We women have to rise to the occasion and not act so helpless or like victims if we expect to get respect or expect to be treated as equals. I'll get off my soapbox now.
