I think that's because I open up all my listening devices at home.  Several laptops now, all my family's cell phones, the desktop.  I pulled an old gate way computer out and fire that up.  I dial in fm the home phone.  Is he still whining about useless eaters?  Baby, I devour that shit.

It's not a bad idea. But if she's in such terrible shape, someone who actually knows her (like a friend or relative) might want to try to keep her off the Internet entirely until she feels better. How responsible should a forum like this be for her or anyone's mood or mental health?

True enough- but she is still a person, and I don't know that people need to pile on quite like they have.  Two months back everybody liked her as a poster- now people post whatever they can to cut.  As somebody who is supposed to lack empathy, I find it amazing to observe how "normal" people act.

On the other hand, if stating that you find her to be repulsive somehow makes you feel better, I suppose you ought to do just that... There are still people whose opinion has not been stated more than two dozen times, and I forget quickly how they may feel. 

I wonder how many people still feel that she should post her full name, address, phone number and previous employers to make it easier for people to tear her apart and make it impossible to get away?

On that note, carry on.  After midnight when most people lack a support system is the ideal time to attack- and she has committed the cardinal sin of showing weakness.

My bet is the only reason she hosted in first place was that she was/is fooled into thinking Art would come back before the entire thing collapsed.

I would bet that she met him, worked for him, may even consider him a friend.  When he asked if she would host for a week or so while he sorted crap out, she agreed- feeling loyalty and trusting him.  A month down the road, the stress is staring to take a toll while some people vacation in Vegas.

The people who have been taking unfair shots just for the joy of it, the worst of whom were trolling, should have stopped before they started. Most people that I've seen have had legitimate criticisms based on her performance. If I recall our recent talk, you may have trouble distinguishing the first group from the second.

Nevertheless, there's a huge difference IMO. The second group can be critical and still have no animosity. I certainly hope Heather can tell the difference. Otherwise, the negative comments could be taken as worse than they really are.

I am able to tell a troll from legitimate criticism.  I am also able to see when that criticism is spewed with bile a dozen times a day that it no longer is simply constructive criticism.

I'm not saying that you are in that group- but there are those who hide behind saying that she is not doing a good job to make it seem impersonal while making it very personal.

The funny thing is that I'm sure that she was able to write off the actual trolls much easier than those who once called her "friend" saying that she completely sucks as a host (really, I'm not going to start posting all of the "legitimate" concerns that people had here...)

Anyhow, as I said above- she has shown weakness and now is the ideal time to level that constructive criticism.  Perhaps she will quit if enough people pile on to give their "honest" opinion and pick her performance apart?  Or, maybe she can have a proper breakdown.  Either way, it's a "win" (sarcasm intended.)

Let me get this straight. Keith and Pete (and maybe Art) aren't happy with Heather's performance or the numbers or the advertising dollars. They go behind her back or in front and sniff out replacements. Heather catches wind, loses her shit and fires Pete because she can't fire Keith from his own network and who's going to put her on the air nightly if not Keith. Am I in the ballpark?
