We need to back off Heather. She's in a very dark scary place right now. A lot of people have messaged me privately today. Yes she's lashing out and saying really dumb things but I think it's because she's in a very bad place right now and is swinging wildly.

I'm not saying we have to support her or support the show but I think we need to back off on the venom towards her for a little while.

It's not a bad idea. But if she's in such terrible shape, someone who actually knows her (like a friend or relative) might want to try to keep her off the Internet entirely until she feels better. How responsible should a forum like this be for her or anyone's mood or mental health? It's not a place that she, or we, want to be.

Heather is what she is. If she had developed her talent like other entertainers who spent years starving and being tortured starting from the bottom to hone and refine their talent, there's no telling how much she could have accomplished. But she was given the host spot of the paranormal Tonight Show after playing around on an internet forum. How could it have possibly succeeded? Everyone who thought this would work was delusional at best.

Yes, she is too inexperienced (like... none?) as a radio host to try to fill in the footsteps of someone like Art Bell, a long master of night-time talk radio.  Heck, even the "experienced" George Noory can barely handle it, as documented in the humungously long GNS thread.  I agree if she was given years of time to develop, she might be okay or even good.  Alas, she was given no time to try to develop her on-air craft at all.  I think that was unfair of Art, to put her in this position.  I've felt troubled ever since I read that opinion that Art has set her up to be the fall-guy.  Cynical, but I wonder.....

I think that's because I open up all my listening devices at home.  Several laptops now, all my family's cell phones, the desktop.  I pulled an old gate way computer out and fire that up.  I dial in fm the home phone.  Is he still whining about useless eaters?  Baby, I devour that shit.

Heather, it sounds like that your going to past the show to Steve and as Steve "hosts" the show, You bail on Dark Matter just like Art. We all know that Art really did not wanted to host the show and now you don't want to host the show. Please Heather no one wants your sloppy seconds.

Why blame her for that?? Would you host this trainwreck of a show that was doomed from the very moment Art left?
My bet is the only reason she hosted in first place was that she was/is fooled into thinking Art would come back before the entire thing collapsed.
