Hey, Art.  When I come to your home to mow the lawn, will you allow me to hear those speakers?  They look rather badass.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the big white rectangular box on the upper right?  I was guessing at first it was a giant phone display or 'On Air' sign or something like that to make it feel like a real studio, but I've decided it's probably just an air conditioning unit.

I am afraid it's just a Air Conditioner, BUT in our climate it is my friend.

Art.  I know this question will really smoke the memory circuits, but do you remember which one of your GIS shows had the "ghost whistling the theme from X-Files?"  Thank you.

I was wondering same thing. I was thinking some kind of ionizer or some kind of allergy filter?
Ah, Art has answer. A/C unit.

Hi Art! Couldn't help but notice the pillow in the chair for your back.....I have the same setup for my bad back.

RoseGirl

Me? I'm a lovin' that 70s office furniture. Every last one of us has that in our basements, I bet. They stopped making sensible desks and comfy side tables after about 1975, I'm guessing.

Some how I feel better knowing that Art's smooth, reassuring voice will be emanating from way back in the 70s. Warms my heart.

I will be happy to bring mine. It's a little old and rusty, but it works like a champ.

That type of air conditioner is the standard in Asia (and other places without central heating systems like we have in the US).

Studio looks awesome Art.  July 20th will be here before we know it!   :)

I never had A/C in Europe (wish I did sometimes) except in some hotels that had central A/C. That seems way more compact than the "window" units we have for those who don't have a central HVAC system. Are they same technology, something different, or is it some kind of new-style 'swamp' cooler type of A/C? (They work good in dry areas but not so much here.)

I can't wait for new show!!

Art... Lights dimmed during a show? Off?

Sure, but you can't hear it, very quite. And yes lights are dimmed for proper mood whilst on air.

I think they are the same tech as our central A/C. They have a coil (size of a large desktop computer) that needs to be bolted down outside of the house.

Art

Not only will it be a push mower, but it will be the 1950s type with no motor.  Just blades that spin when I push.  You won't even know I'm out there.
