When did George say this? I'd love to go back and listen to it. "North to South" sounds kinda lame. Coast to Coast international I can see. I'd actually welcome the show content being broadened a bit. I love hearing the old Art Bell shows when it was something different every night. I find the show too one denominational and too repetitive these days.

It was probably Hoagland, but could have been Alex Jones.

I am totally shocked and bewildered at what just happened tonight. I'm wondering if I'm even reporting to sources who are rational, but not in the way Michael V. put it in relation to my Portland Source. I thing though I fall into the same catagory as them. I am badly obsessed with how George Noory has ruined the late-night radio experience for me. I did not want to admit to myself that we'd entered another period in which there was no intellectually rational, but non-political voice that spoke to me in the way Art Bell does/did, and Herb Jepko did. We are staving off the heart-rending grief process connected to that. I do have a horrific background I'm still recovering from. Herb Jepko literally saved my life when I was young. Art Bell had/has that ability to be that salvic voice in the night. George Noory has nothing! In fact I've found George Noory's broadcasts to undermine my mental health as a believer in appocolyptic xtian prophacy. I knew that because Art's wife Ramona had a strong believe verging on witchcraft, I as a Wiccan felt welcome to listen to Art, I felt welcome in they're radio home that they created! Not with George, not ever with George. We're just deeply obsessed Art Bell listeners who are chasing our tails trying not to admit to ourselves we're in an era like from 1981 to 1992 when no healing voice was on the late-night airwaves.

Open Mind with Bill Jenkins aired sometime in the early to mid 80's originating from LA.
He was a real decent radio host and researched in depth on the paranormal topics he covered.
I downloaded a bunch of his shows from a torrent site. I highly recommend anyone interested in hearing a good quality show to download them.

I was surprised at one point to learn new info about the Rendlesham Forest ufo encounter in an Open Minds with Bill Jenkins show that I never heard on any either radio/podcast show... and I listen to many radio/podcast shows; red ice creations, rense, binnall of america, kevin smith show, feet to fire, occult of personality, darkness radio show, dreamland, jerry pippen, veritas.. yeah I am a talk radio junkie

What IS going to happen next?  This thread has become the place where the unexpected happens, the place you can't predict.  You go on a trip, like morphia said, and when you come back you go WTF happened?  The background is purple with yellow sparkles.  CoastGab is the place where Rod Sterling can pop out when you least expect it, dangling a cigarette like he used to, and saying, "Yes, it's the place where fantasy and reality blend completely and humans just stand, staring into the fog, wondering what they just saw."

As long as this thread lives, the ride is not completely over, there are still people hanging the fuselage even though the plane has taxied in....

Art isn't coming back, that's pretty much it, but the international drivel show is just lipstick on a pig and the affiliates won't buy it.  Hopefully George will move to Zimbabwe to anchor the show closer to its new international base (Lookee see TV UFO man big in Amerika), and the affiliates will drop like rotting fruit in December.  Hopefully it will clear the deck at least for someone with savvy to Rule the Night.

It seems that most forums need at least one thread as a hub, and this one provides that service for now.  I find it interesting that the initial premise of this thread was about Art leaving the show, which has now evolved into prognostic conjectures about his immanent return to the airwaves.

Perhaps this is something that can give you strength my brethren. That the show will now be so far removed from what it was when Art did it that it will be unrecognizable. Let all ties, to borrow an analogy, to the bottle of Jack and a pack of smokes while sitting at a park bench in the middle of the pitch black night with the hair on the back of your neck standing straight up saying to yourself, "they should not be saying this, I should not be listening to this, these are things people don't say or talk about." - let all ties to that and what Art was about be gone. No one could do with radio what Art could do with it. Having someone such as George the charlatan, the impostor, do it is a disgrace to the legacy that the show was.

I have a gut feeling that Angleeyes is spot on. If so, we will no longer have to endure that connection.

Let the show become the latest version of Entertainment Tonight, infotainment, an infomercial of a carnival barker. And let the ties to something that was the greatest ever be gone.
