Shockingly astute deductive reasoning, Ms. Vale.  Many of us reached the same conclusions within hours of the announcement, and have conducted a rigorous online investigation here at BellGab.  While some details remain unclear, here’s what we’ve pieced together so far:

“Heather Wade” is a pseudonym for Elektra Natchios, daughter of the late Greek ambassador to the U.S., Hugo Kostas Natchios.  She briefly attended Columbia University, during which time her name appears beneath a photo caption in the  social column of the New York Times, in association with a blind lawyer based in the city’s “Hell’s Kitchen” district (the image is the only photo that we have of Ms. Natchios aka “Heather Wade,” but it explains why she has never published a personal photo under this alias).   A few months after moving to NYC to attend Columbia, on December 17th, 1997, her father was killed during a failed rescue attempt after the two were briefly kidnapped during a family outing by armed dissidents.  Police reports indicate that Mr. Murdock may have been witnessed at the scene, but he was never charged.

There’s no record of Ms. Natchios’ activities for the following three years, until Belgian and American authorities issued press releases in 2001 and 2002 naming her as a person of interest in two seemingly unrelated murder investigations of known felons.  She never came forward for questioning.  Unsubstantiated rumors on social media forums suggest her involvement with a Chinese organization called “The Hand,” the existence of which remains unconfirmed.

Over the following six years a few references appear on Matthew Murdock’s blog, “ Law and Justice,” which suggest that she continued to reside in NYC during this time, but her named is never stated explicitly so debate is on-going as to their true meaning.

We have no further record of her activities until she first appeared here at BellGab on July 23, 2013, using the nickname “(Redacted).”  The following two years of postings reveal her efforts to build the “Heather Wade” persona on the forum, which have been deconstructed by professional forensic linguists and professional law enforcement profilers working on the investigation.

After a successful effort to infiltrate the BellGab community from 2013 to mid-2014, she began appearing on amateur podcasts about Art Bell and related paranormal topics.  She then leveraged this experience to make contact with Art Bell, which led to their first personal meeting on October 7th of 2014, when she traveled to Mr. Bell’s private Pahrump compound.  The contents of that meeting have never been released.

But within weeks of this secret meeting in Nevada, public records of Art Bell commentary here and in the mainstream media indicate a long-term intention to mentor “Heather Wade” and install her as his replacement, for reasons unknown but hotly debated both here and at 4chan (which is conducting its own investigation).

What we have been able to definitely surmise (in part through leaks from 4chan), is that the alleged “gunman” incidents at the Pahrump compound were anticipated in a comment made by Art Bell five weeks before the “official story” began on the air, and constitute a “false flag operation,” which is on-going.  The Nye County Sheriff’s Department is implicated through the recent press release that appears to confirm “the story,” but the extent of their involvement remains unclear.

We could certainly use your formidable investigative talents to help us fit the last few pieces together and crack this case wide open, Ms. Vale.  Although we don’t expect to receive Art Bell’s $20K reward (disingenuously offered this weekend as a transparent smokescreen to throw off the growing wave of investigative effort currently underway) when we prove that Art himself is the supposed “gunman” terrorizing his family, we do expect to win the ensuing civil suit against him, Elektra “Heather Wade” Natchios, and the DMDN when we ultimately reveal the sordid facts of this case to the public.

Yup. I'm not so sure about him being so thick skinned anymore though. he's blown through a lot worse, or just as worse before. :::shrug::: His life to live, not ours. We can be grateful he gave us so much entertainment, but I'm OK with heather and would like to see her get as fair a shot as possible. People that don't like it can always turn it off.
