Well, I do hope we get rid of the big money that is buying our politics.  How could that happen?  We'd need several new Justices in the Supremes and they would have to be willing to overturn a prior ruling - or we'd need a Constitutional Convention, which would open the Constitution to other changes as well.  I don't think anyone wants to go there, especially with both Houses stacked with one party.

Roberts may be realizing he made a mistake in Citizen's United:

Andrew Prokop in Vox: “The US Supreme Court has ruled, 5-4, that states can prevent judicial election candidates from soliciting campaign contributions. Read the ruling (Williams-Yulee v. Florida Bar) here.”

“The ruling’s most surprising aspect is that Chief Justice Roberts has abandoned the conservatives on this issue, to side with the liberal supporters of limits on campaign fundraising. Rick Hasen, a law professor at University of California Irvine, called the decision ‘a HUGE win for those who support reasonable limits on judicial elections,” and said that Roberts’s vote in particular was “surprising, welcome, and momentous’.”

“Roberts’s rationale was that judicial fundraising should be treated very differently than political fundraising.”

“He relies on the argument that upholding ‘public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary’ is a compelling interest for states. ‘Simply put, the public may lack confidence in a judge’s ability to administer justice without fear or favor if he comes to office by asking for favors,’ he writes.”

You mean the public still has confidence in the integrity of the judiciary, especially the Supreme Court? :o An entity that created its own jurisdiction (ok, at least far expanded its original scope.) I need to read the opinion but I don't necessarily disagree "if I were king" I would ban other speech also (advertising in public of any medicine or supplements on the airwaves.) But I fail to see the difference between legislative law and judges/justices who are elected- or appointed by elected people. Legislative law can be just as corrupt or far-reaching as a judicial decision. And what about people that are not even remotely elected- like made-up government regulations? Why he is worried about "public perception" of judges and not of other government minions?)

That court lost my respect when they appointed George Bush to his throne. Al Gore was an idiot for conceding, that's not America, that's being lazy. That's how the rich guys planned it anyway, every 8 years the seat changes and we fight some more. What really needs to happen is all need to ignore both sides of that coin and act in our own best interest.

If we all pitch in, maybe we could buy Hoagland a one way ticket to Mars.
Hmmm, and if Dave follows up with his plan to retire when we reach Mars.  Sounds like a win-win.

Chupagrande means "big suck," in other words a pretty accurate description of a certain radio show.

Indeed.

Any word yet on what the BIG NEWS coming that George hinted about on his Twitter the other day?  Obviously, it is not that he stole Keith, so it must be something else.

They will be resurrecting Walter Cronkite to give Little Richard C. Hoagland a special award that involves him being put on a rocket ship, and shot off toward the face on Mars.

Jan 27, 2005 interview with George Corrales

There's no doubt in my mind they are coming through a portal either. Noory is a sorry excuse for Art. His job is to keep people who listen to the paranormal thinking like "they want us to". Noory "suggests" how you should think about things. That pisses me off. Thats not journalism, it's mass manipulation. The cool thing about people that listen to paranormal stuff is they do it because they dont like normal. The government wants people to be normal. They want us to laugh at and trivialize what they do while they are putting it up our "you know whats" paying low wages and taxing "us" to pay the bills instead of taxing people "who it wouldn't affect them at all" to have to pay taxes because they are so stinking rich. Noory is a salesman for their machine... and Art, if you read this you know damn well you were too for a long time. I listened to enough re-broadcasts of your stuff for enough years to know your advertisers and controllers were manipulating you too. With this new show I'm "praying" Art is too old and un-connected to have to do anything but be Art not connected to the borg.

In the last hour of the show last night, Noory again referred to the movie "Contact" calling it one of his favorites and said the line "Wanna take a ride"
That seems to be the only thing Noory knows about that movie... ;)
I believe you`re right. Again Noory said it like "Wanna take a walk?"  What a maroon. GNS

Noory forgot about Hoagland's 70th birthday this past week, but we didn't.  :)
I bet Noory will also forget about Art Bell's 70th birthday next month...  8)

I don't think Richard has changed his wardrobe since the 70s.

The shorter woman is Paola Harris, she whose first name G. Noory is unable to pronounce correctly. Little-known fact: Paola is listed as instructor at Michael Salla's so-called Exopolitics Institute. If you can come up with  $1500 plus extras for seminar tuition, Paola will guide you to a "Galactic Diplomacy Certificate." Imagine that on your résumé. Or perhaps not.

Because Al Gore Jr (since his father is dead) is not rich :o? Granted his elite education, for a champion of public schools and the common-man, (he attended the same private Quaker run school as Obama's girls (another champion of public education) and grew up around DC) and, granted, if not for OXY (the company- not the drug ravaging his claimed home state) and tobacco interests, and his dad political career, he might not have been rich but still he is very, very rich.

Dateline

I get it now with hints all over the place.  Norry's "Wanna Take a Ride" means that he wants to take a ride to Mars really soon, retire.

The tweet about big and wonderful is that big and wonderful retirement ride to Mars.

The party is being planned with cake and punch.  We will even buy you a new turkey smoker to take with you so that you can leave the other behind.

The retirement roasting continues on this thread, just tune in.

Zimmerman replying to Norry's "wanna take a ride" claiming Contact was best movie (as a hit against Art) mentioning "The Day The Earth Caught Fire" was nice. That is a great, great sci-fi movie. One of my all time favorite. Also, telling because once Art is back the Norry C2C is gone and Art's show will be "catch fire!"

Yes, he compared Putin to Peter the Great.

Oh, please. Peter the Great was known fro trying to bring Russia closer to Western Europe. Putin's more interested in putting the former Soviet nations and satellites back under the Russian sphere of influence, and away from Western Europe.

Really, do tell.

Though Peter the Great killed A LOT more people, especially Russian people, and made peace with the Islamists (Ottomans,) in his quest to strengthen, unite, and make more Western the Russian Empire! Not to mention serfdom and Jew issues back then. If Putin succeeds even with the current land-grabs and Arctic claims and expanded sphere of influence, and detente collaboration with China and the BRICS he will, likely, be called "the Great" by Russians, at least in history books. Whether he can keep this advances is another question though. Not saying either were good guys, but in Russian eyes....

Though we might also want to check out pawn shops in his area as he might have had to get some loans on his Bulova collections to deal with his "horrendous move" several months ago.
ps: if we bid "19.5" we might "automatically" win and beat the Ebay bidding system due to torsion physics, its in the data!
