Noory makes himself more than a pariah in my mind tonight, and an absolute disgrace to his supposed profession of journalism. He dares to actually blame Charlie Hebdo for the shootings? He and Corsi both. Corsi cannot pronounce the magazine's name properly, let alone understand what the magazine is about. Neither of them appear to understand satire. Repeatedly, Corsi claimed that Charlie was engaging in some form of 'hate speech' against Islam and Muslims. What utter nonsense. He talked about Family Guy 'abusing' Jesus. The pair of them sound like a couple of old farts at the bar. Corsi claims he's offended by Hebdo. I doubt he's ever seen an issue or looked at any of the cartoons. A cartoonist worth his salt has an absolute right - nay, a sacred duty - to upset or offend.
I have listened to a flood of voices in print, radio and TV today: these are the first to point any suggestion of blame at Charlie. I am spluttering and incoherent with fury. Why, why, why, why, do religions want to place themselves in a place where we cannot or should not ridicule them?
I fear I'm not making a lot of sense. I could go on forever, but I'll stop.


I may disagree with everything you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

First time I can ever remember a caller really getting into it with Noory. Fantastic. And he really, really couldn't cope. He behaved like a petulant schoolma'am. Couldn't get to that bumper music fast enough, could he? Also got the caller's name wrong, calling Mark Davey for some reason.

Now onto the safe ground of science-bashing with the 'entertainment industry insider'. We are seriously entertaining the possibility of a geocentric solar system. Noory really is comfortable in the Middle Ages in so many ways.

1) The French have been very aggressive in fighting Muslim extremist worldwide, including a major incursion into Mali just about two years ago, and the French were the first Western nation (other than the US) to launch airstrikes against ISIS last year.

2)  Just a couple days ago, France announced it sent a carrier battle group for use against ISIS.

Could be a "lone wolf" attack, I doubt it.

There is some legitimacy in saying the Sun goes around the Earth from a relativity standpoint, but only relative to an observer on Earth.  This guest has all the insight of a high school drop out taking a first year course in physics for students of the humanities.
