They definitely need to tone that shit down or they'll take historical criticism for it later. It's not even all that effective of a weapon given the PR costs. That's why we moved away from it.

How come it was OK for Albenia-Kosovo [muslim state, that originally was part of GREATER SERBIA-first Orthodox Christians in that part of the World]
to just decide to separate from Yugoslavia - and when Yugoslavian government said...wait a minute!!
then US just went and fucking bomb them-Serbs, using silly 'war crimes' shit excuse,..but when the same shit was done by Albanians then
that was not called 'war crimes' - only when was done by Serbs.

So now when Crimea decided to separate from Ukraine how come they are not allowed.
Besides if you know history a bit Crimea never really belonged to Ukraine,..at later part was given to Ukraine as a 'gift' to offset what Stalin did.
But before Crimea was not really Ukrainian, lot's of 'powers' ruled over Crimea -over Tatars there- including Roman Empire, etc-etc-etc...

But the point is - why was it OK for Albania to separate - but was not OK for Crimea, on top of it there was voting on separation in Crimea.
Reason people in Crimea were not willing to be part of Ukraine any more because Ukrainian government in Kiev for decades
didn't give shit about them and their economy.

There is more details to it - but see the double standards in it between Albania and Crimea..and how USA is manipulating shit in the World
and later crying that people all over the World are hating them.

Think about it....

yup, wonder if they gave assad the idea to use chlorine  barrel bombs

Looks like things will get even worse from here. Russians are sending more naval forces, including their carrier, to Syria.

They will have a lot of firepower on hand to support the final Syrian Army push into Aleppo. But it will mainly be there to warn off the West from interfering. This may be quite a confrontation.

Depleted uranium was standard ordinance for our A-10s and is intended to kill tanks, not people. I don't doubt that some civilians could have been unintentionally hit.

The difference between us and the Russians is that the Russians not only don't care how many civilians they kill, but in cases like Aleppo they are actively trying to kill civilians. That's how they fight, whether in Syria or Chechnya.

Do you have documents-pictures proving that - or it just come from your ass ??

What about when Russians were showing satellite pictures of hundreds of crude oil trucks going to Turkey -American/NATO allies-
it was going on for months when ISIS was selling oil to Turkey for processing and Turkey was dumping that ISIS oil on the international market
and Americans knew about it but did fuck all...about it - finally Russia said =fuck you america= WE will take care of it.

Why America was intentionally blind to it - why ??

Meh, I know some Russians. They're fun to get drunk with. Some of them are really nihilistic, some are Christians. In fact a lot of them are. Reagan meant the communist Soviet Union, not the people. The Soviet Union hasn't existed in a while now. Now it's just a corrupt oligarchy, but the Russians themselves are just like anyone else. That said, Putin needs to stop flexing his muscles and we need to be more pragmatic. Less people die in Syria when Assad is ruling with an iron fist. More die when we bomb. It makes more sense to pull a Kissinger and support a dictator there.

You have to have some sympathy for the Russian people. They've gone from the Tsars to the Communists to the authoritarian, corrupt oligarchs. Never even a ray of sunshine in that country that wasn't quickly extinguished.

Ask Western Europe, they were the ones that wanted that war and did the war crimes trials. Personally, I think the US should not have been involved.

Well, I see the point of the Crimea really being Russian so I don't really think it's something the US needs to get involved in. Now, if a NATO country gets outright attacked like Estonia or Lithuania, then I would have a problem. But I don't think that's going to happen.

Yes, I know and agree. That's why I don't really see that conflict as a threat to NATO.

If people in Crimea see themselves as Russian, then I'm fine with them joining Russia. Just don't take it too far and kill tons of people over it. And stay away from the NATO countries.

Well, as far as Albanian independence, that happened a long time ago and they are most certainly a distinct people. But as far as Kosovo, that was more murky. Still, I don't think the US should risk global stability over little bits of inconsequential land that ethnic groups fight over. I don't mean to demean those people, but rather just state that global stability outweighs regional stability, and any intervention we might do just destabilizes things more. I'm simply happy to leave situations like Crimea up to Ukraine, Crimea and Russia to handle on their own. No need to risk a global thermonuclear war over it. But I do draw a line at NATO.

Yeah, and it's sad. The Russian people are great with a rich history and culture. I have nothing against them. Not a fan of their governments, but as a people I'm fine with them. But I like regular people anywhere in the world.

News reports show identifiable remnants of Russian bunker-buster bombs targeted on civilians hiding in basements. The Russians themselves have admitted that they can't distinguish or separate civilians from armed terrorists. So they are killing everybody and "letting God sort them out."

The Russians don't actually have much to say other than to blame the U.S. for not isolating the "terrorists," who in some cases are just opposition fighters.

Not because you "agree" with mine line of seeing things
- but because you understand that from logical not emotional point of view,
/not like some posters here do/..that whatever Russia is doing is always Evil - and whatever America is doing is always Great...that your post is smart

It's not that simple - it's not that obvious ...

Very sad. You look at the freed former Soviet Republics, like Lithuania and Latvia, which are finding their way to democracy under Western protection, and realize that the Russian people could do the same thing. Only their corrupt system is stopping them.

to be fair look how many changes the Russians have faced in what? 99 - 100 years.

Yeah, I agree entirely. It's not so clean cut. I'd rather we drop the tensions and just figure out some way to work together while maintaining global stability. Global stability is more important than regional stability.

I'm not saying that Russians are 'angels' in that war in Syria - but in my opinion if America was not allowing ISIS for so long to sell oil via Turkey
and if America stepped in to stop that and said to Turkey - "hey stop it -no more Turkish delight" ..then perhaps the whole situation in Syria
was resolved much differently...
but perhaps everything is going there in Syria according to the Plan-of God ,..according with the Prophecies - that are described in The Bible ;)

It's ultimately up to them though. They'll right it in the end or become irrelevant in the modern world. It's their choice. We should just sit back and watch and work with them where we can.

My friend, allow me to educate you on Russians. They are a despicable people. Liars, cheats, and gypsies. As a people, they are essentially void of a moral compass. No understanding of what`s decent in the world. They have ALWAYS been this way and will be always. General Patton was correct. We should have moved on Stalin and Russia when we had the forces in place to do so.

Patton said he could have conquered Russia with the second Army alone and I believe him. Truman was a pussy. Too bad. we wouldnt be having this conversation.

P.S. Sir, I have been called and accused of many things in my long life, but "liberal" certainly is not one of them.

So, just to be clear, you're for ethnically cleansing the world of Russians?  ???

I don't see the smuggled oil as being such a critical factor for the Russians. It's more a propaganda point which allows them to claim that somehow the U.S. is in league with ISIS, which is absurd.

What is true is that we have a very tenuous relationship with Turkey and the Turks often go their own way. Right now, Turkey is more buddy-buddy with Russia than the U.S., in spite of being a NATO member.

Agreed, oil was not the only issue - but issue with oil was to show how hypocritical America was on one hand crying to the World
how barbaric ISIS is and on the other hand to letting ISIS finance their operations selling oil from Syria to Turkey - WTF?

Do you know what would America say and did if that was Russia doing instead of America ???

bombing indiscriminately etc.

I think that we are equally guilty of this, if not more so. We've been playing a shell game with the Russians called Who Are The Real Terrorists. and their response has been Fuck you! All militant fundamentalist Muslim groups ARE terrorists, regardless of what you call them. So, we keep bombing each others secret allies and then saying, "Ooops! Sorry!"  Perhaps it's time to stop being so Machiavellian with the rest of the world (including Russia) and to start being real. ;)
