Midnight In The Desert

Started by Falkie2013, December 12, 2015, 01:13:40 AM

Are there higher levels of cancer / medical problems for people who just live around reactors, notwithstanding accidents?

Spookcat

Is this the same woman HW kept bringing in about Fukushima?

chefist

She is lost...wrong...wow

BS...populations continued to grow during that time.

How does she know the electricity that is powering her home does not come from nuclear?

Lilith

This guest is very interesting!

Robert

You'd think people fleeing would have the sense to go upwind per the prevailing westerlies.

Bart Ell

Now taking bets on who will be the mystery guest in hour 2.

chefist

LOL Great Job, Dave...

She is lost...bwahahhaha

Here are the two, that were far worse than 3 mile island...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SL-1

SL-1 being the only confirmable deaths...Simi Valley being the most disturbing and possibly deadly, but no confirmed deaths...

She lives in LA, and doesn't know about the liquid sodium reactor in Simi Valley...Jesus Christ...

Hanford still leaking, apparently. He never seems to mention incidents.

Spookcat

Thank you so much, Dave.

Feel free to skip. If I may share something personal, I have Borderline Personality Disorder. I've done therapy and have been on medication for years. I've come to the point of acceptance that I need the medication in order to function. I was suicidal my first year of college, but got through it after dropping out. My life isn't bad. I have someone who loves me, my family and friends are very caring. More money would be nice, but not necessary. Two years ago my husband and I left everything behind to move to Japan so he could have a decent post-doc position. I'd never been on a plane or been that far away from the rest of my family. We barely spoke the language and really didn't have any idea on anything. I don't have a work-visa so a large part of my time is sitting alone in my apartment. MitD and even you guys here at BellGab have given me something to look forward to in the afternoons. Thank you all for that.

Thanks for sharing Spookcat. And thanks for the kitties!

I feel uncomfortable with her talking about my energy rod and spent fuel pool.
