I made the mistake of trying to explain the Art Bell universe to my Mom during our weekly phone call, who had the best reaction ever, "but why do you care?". Well played Mom, well played. For the record my Mom is outlasting Art Bell. She's 73. Too soon?

This golden voice near the end of the HW vs Bateman Gabcast is saying it's a different time now because we can sit in a chat room and discuss what we are hearing as we hear it.  That's not that new because I used to sit on the ArtBell IRC channel in the mid 90's doing the same thing.  Also in 1996 shooting instant messages through his web site and watching his webcam that autoloaded every 30 seconds.

I am noticing that HW drops a lot of "g"s off of her words (how ya doin', thinkin', feelin') which people usually do to sound casual and friendly, yet she uses it all the time even when she's being hostile.  It reminds me of Hillary Clinton because she does the same thing.

Yeah, I didn't get here until the fall of 2015 but this is the one thing people who knew her well here would say, that she didn't even sound the same after she left Bellgab...and yeah, it's almost as cringy as when Hillary did it. :

Speaking of not sounding the same, I listened briefly to a Feb 2018 "dogman" show of MITD that's on YouTube and I was aghast.  She has turned into a cartoon character.  Initially I thought she was trying to do funny voices on purpose but as I continued to listen it became clear that she was legitimately attempting to do... well, I have no idea what her goal is but if it's anything other than to be a character from Whacky Races then she is failing.

The show was not officially offered to me. Pete was putting out feelers because he knew he couldn’t sell Heather. I told him it was something I’d have to give some serious thought to, and that I’d get back to him. I think that was on a Friday. By Monday she had found out there were ‘contingency plans’ and she went apeshit.
