I liked Kaepernick when he played for Nevada, went to see them play San Jose St when they came to town. 

He sure ran the Pistol well, and I was happy when SF drafted him.  He was a nice kid, not the usual jerk player.  There were a few wrinkles - the tattoos, the collection of tennis shoes that filed up a spare bedroom.  Then came the bad influences of Jim Harbaugh and Randy Moss - which led to the monotone one word answer moodiness in press conferences and  the 'fuck you' headphones.  The hanging with that Yasmiel Puig asshat.

The 49ers stopped running the Pistol college scheme before Gore or Kaepernick got themselves killed by a DE or OLB, and it turned out the guy can't read NFL defenses, can't check down his receivers, can't get the ball to them even when he sees them open.  In other words not bright enough, mentally quick enough, or accurate enough to play.  As demonstrated on and off the field the past couple of years.

I was shocked that even with the dumb management featured by SF, they didn't cut him in April before his 2016 $13MM salary vested.

Fuck him, give him to the Viks and be done with it.  He can't play, and he isn't worth the money or the attitude.

I too remember him in college and thought he was a pretty nice kid. Early on with the 49'rs I liked him but ya he turned into a little bitch right about the time he made those headphone commercials. He is about the least accurate passer I've seen in a long time and his decision making skills are head scratchers at times. I believe that he slept with Aldon Smiths girlfriend or wife and that is why he trashed Kaps car. After that incident I believe his teammates lost any and all respect for Kap and with that he lost all confidence in his abilities. Maybe his football skills can come back with a different team but I doubt it.
