I guess they deliberately tried to make it goofy so as not to actually scare people. Hope so anyway.
The story itself is fascinating but I suspect the movie will turn out to be terrible.

The problem with trying to fictionalize the Dyatlov Pass incident is that 95 percent of screenwriters would instinctually try to explain what happened. They'd come up with some back story about a soviet bioweapons experiment gone wrong or something and that would destroy what makes the story so interesting: the fact that no one has the slightest idea what happened there.
