Today's edition of Richard Hoaxland, Somewhere in Time brings us way back to July 24, 2015.  Oh, the halcyon days of late July.

This has been a great show tonight! I wasn't sure about this after the first couple of shows but he is getting better each night. I like it!

Just listened to Dick talking about his experiment.  I think he missed the point that he is supposed to do a show each night and people expect it to be new. It is fine to run the occasional repeat but announce it as such so those who have already heard it can skip it.  It was also interesting that he chose to run a show with Rossy as producer.  I have tried to give this guy a chance but he keeps returning to crazy town.  All I can say is I'm glad I don't live in his head.

Lol all of his good shows are under Rossy, since rossy left has maybe 4 new guests? One came back two weeks in a row, he has missed two shows, and had a round table discussion on mars 3 days in row so far.

Rossy, you made the show what it was and the regulars on this thread know that. When you left, the show quickly degenerated to the level it's at now.

You were the only thing keeping Richard from self destructing.  You made the show great.

Definitely not! Hold your head high!

It was like a switch was flipped; when Rossy left, the show went to hell.  Even a casual follower of OSoM would see that.  Rossy's stock and cred are sky high right now, and deservedly so.  I can't wait to see what's next for SR (maybe too much to hope that he and Bateman could work together on some little midnight magic?)

When they are ready for release into the wild, please give us a heads up.

Perhaps losing sight of how bad Dave is in comparison.  RCH provides a great addition to Art's show.  He's not perfect, which means we need to pick what we want and let the rest go by.

Ok so I'm personally tired of beating this dead horse.  Let's just hope there's something cool in the works to replace the show.

I do have a little programming history albeit  from the 90s which was an entirely different animal...   Anyway, what a lot of stations were doing back then in the wee hours of the morning we're playing recaps of earlier shows quick edited or "best of shows", etc.

I know due to arts subscription service, this may not be the greatest idea to rerun one of his shows but I just don't see how it would be humanly possible to follow his show with the same size audience. And without a considerable audience, you're not going to get The show or a host that is going to last very long.

That timeslot makes me wish that art had more control over his back catalogue. But I'm telling you, no radio host that is worth a shit is going to take 3 AM till 5 AM Eastern time.

I did everything I could to help him in every way possible, including getting a loan of expensive gear from Telos to transmit his show to the Network. I found Rossy for him. Wow, lots happened since I posted to this thread.  I'm a bit late to the party, but I just posted this to the Art Bell thread since Art had posted there about RCH: Those of us who have been watching how RCH acts during interviews, giving talks, on his website, on Facebook, and elsewhere over the past few decades were generally not surprised that this has happened.  I think frankly, many of us are surprised that it took this long.  I, personally, expected it to collapse within 2 months.

The ego that he has would simply not allow the show to live up to what its potential could be, could not tolerate any dissension from critics without ranting about them, nor could it not come up with excuses that still fit within his "model" when called out for something.

What has happened, I think, has been fascinating to watch.  And I don't just mean that I was as surprised as many others that RCH could really do an entertaining and interesting interview when he switched over from crazy mode.  What I'm talking about instead is the evolution of people who have been involved with helping him and trying to guide him, going from "This could be great, let's give him a chance," to "OMFG WTF is he doing?!"  (paraphrased, of course)

People genuinely wanted to support and help him (Art, Ross, I assume Keith) and did so very well.  People here - even some of his major critics (including myself, though I'm not sure how "major" I am relative to others) - were amazed at some of the engaging shows.  But, the ego and the crazy was there, lurking, and I think everyone at least here (including Art, Ross) realize now who RCH really is.

For me, it was always about the science and his promotion of pseudoscience, pseudoinvestigation, horrible warping of reality and facts (and outright lying) to fit things into his "models," and of course the constant appeal to his "dear friends" as if that lent credibility. 

For others, it was good vs bad radio, and the interpersonal (behind-the-scenes) interactions, and what never ever to do as a radio host, which he broke last week: Lying (or at best, misleading) your audience, and then blaming them and saying you don't want listeners.

While I honestly never wish ill on individuals, I do hope that this is one of the mounting straws that will eventually remove Richard from being a radio show host, removing his outlet from which he can further spread his nonsense.

Well, you're entitled to an I-told-you-so.  I never really thought of Hoagie as anything but an entertainer -- and he is a good one when he wants to be -- but it seems his instincts lie more along the lines you identified cuz he's sure not giving the people what they want any more.

You don't know any retired NASA insomniacs from the bad old days of smoking and drinking, leather slippers and smoking jackets, perhaps with a penchant for science fiction and history, who could give us a legit show, do you?

For some reason I never heard of this deal? But it reminds, sort of, like the "tv show" (that is internet-based) that Dave tried (or has, I never checked it out.) This mentions that RCH was involved with an Icke enterprise.

well we shall start with the first night with Scott as producer..it was supposed to be open lines and ended up being 2 hours of two old guys reminiscing about the past..since then..not yet a month ago we have had a re-run show..a guest that had "phone issues" wo came back the following week and still had issues ..he has had more shows on Mars then he had the entire run of shows when Ross was producer(maybe not but close) he had a show where we, the listeners, were guinea pigs for a so called experiment instead of coming out and admitting he screwed up and just ran another re-run..he is insisting pretty much that KIC is aliens and the start of disclosure..which he has been preaching about for at least the 3 years i had heard him on C2C(i started listening 3 years ago or so)..on top of that..Scott, the executive producer, chimes in far too much

Don't forget peeps, Snotty gave himself the title  of "Executive" Producer.

Your plant that can't keep her aliases straight (Sandra Kirsten, aka Sandra 19.5, aka Darth Sandra) failed miserably during the Technical Remote Influencing interrogation sessions, admitting to falsifying her birthday, counterfitting her Communist Club Card, thef of avatar images, and an as of yet unrealized sexual fantasy with BarFly.

Damn, it is really depressing when they just start crying at the sight of long nosed pliers and hyperdermic needles. Hadn't even brought in the bad cop persona to discuss waterboarding and she was a blithering shell of her online persona.

She ratted you and your ilk out. CIArdelo. You can hide behind the avatar, but you cannot hide from the machine. Your number came up. I would grab your go bag and plead with MV for witness protection. It's truly your only hope at this time.

While it will go down in the internal records as a failed op, you can rest knowing that the key to solving the final cypher is "Berlin". Once you crack that, your employers will consider reinstatement. History will be kind to you, but it will take time.

On the bright side, RCH will now have more time to spend with Dr. Falkov. Your friends still have her as an asset, so she can complete the deprogramming. Next time we see Hoagland he will have shed the bolo tie for a vest, he will have a flat top held in place with butch wax, and his ranting will be limited to "Failure is not an option".

Im not actually sure they have the capability to do those kind of tests and mine hasnt timed out or disconcted for Hoagland in over two weeks.

That kind of test can be done across a specific I.P. range that maybe your device wasn't it. Just an FYI
