art always struck me as a man who really doesn't care to receive compliments and/or adulation. i don't know how some of his fans fail to pick up on that. instead, they go parcel posting him a yarn weaved kleenex box cover featuring the name "art" in green text on a white background. hideous.

It's frightening. These horrific, seemingly ridiculous scenarios that we think of as a goof-sending a life-sized fecal statue of Art's likeness.... Well, there's a significant portion of demented lost causes who really think this way. "Art wants me to send him this drawing I did of Ramona in Heaven with angel wings".These stalkers become so delusional, that I'm really stunned that there aren't more "My Sister Sam" or John Lennon type of horror shows occurring. And a show like Art's is even moreso a magnet for the nuts.

I refuse to become a celebrity because of these people. My sacrifices are endless.
