Okay , I get that most of you are sarcastic motherfuckers ..and I get that there are a shitload of unhappy folks on here.
But what brings you joy? What makes you smile ?
And yes , I'm a cheery person..dammit..I like being happy.

So ..my house makes me happy ..I live in the middle of nowhere and every time I drive up my road I smile like a moron..
What about you ?

Friends, childrens and grankids, nesting with The Beautiful Mrs Burbank, The Hokie Pokie, riding our awesome bikes down the American River Parkway or anywhere, gardening, dropping acid, the herb of life, cacti, the Sonoran and Chihuahan Deserts, Yaqui Deer Dances, tipi ceremonies, and other traditional ways, The Grateful Dead, Los Lobos, Saguaro fruit, and toads. Not necessarily in that order.

Any questions?

all cacti or are you excluding the jumping cactus (which is best viewed at a distance, btw)?

I have one cholla here in norcal, which is somewhat of a "jumping" cactus tho not like the teddy bear cholla, which seems to grab from a distance. Anyhoo, the one here is a buckhorn cholla, Opuntia anthrocarpa, which was here when I arrived as if a welcoming for a desert rat refugee. Hell man, I water that thing and its blooms are to cry for. I also brought my own collection of cacti pals with me but of course.

Also, it seperates us from Texas heh.

Texas just seems awful.

Please continue to spread this sentiment, especially to people from the NE and California.  There have been far too many people moving to Texas lately that want to change things and make it more like the liberal cesspools from which they came.

Reading Bellgab, particularly the politics section, and realizing there are so many people so much more miserable than I, makes me somewhat happy.

May I extend that message to those coming from the open border to the south? Though, generally, aside from cartel members, I would rather have those illegals who generally hold traditional values and work hard, than the many of the folks from NE, California, Portland, etc with their leftist ideals and dreams of more taxation and regulation. I grant you the illegals are a drain on resources and the border should be secure but, really, the only danger from them (aside from the cartels and criminals) is when they are corrupted by the Californian/NE ideals of less freedom and more government- since they are usually uneducated, politically and otherwise, and so will take dreams of government give-aways, welfare, handouts, etc in exchange for voting for them. And not just apply this to Texas but other freedom loving states with good economies and normal people in them, like in the midwest, NW, South, etc. People shouldn't move to a place to try to change it. Stay home!

I can't imagine any circumstance under which I would recommend someone move to Texas.
