Is that your husky?

Nooo. My husky is OK with Gwen Stefani but howls whenever I sing, which is quite embarrassing. Everyone's a critic.  ::)

Stellar

Okay , I get that most of you are sarcastic motherfuckers ..and I get that there are a shitload of unhappy folks on here.
But what brings you joy? What makes you smile ?
And yes , I'm a cheery person..dammit..I like being happy.

So ..my house makes me happy ..I live in the middle of nowhere and every time I drive up my road I smile like a moron..
What about you ?
Tu a vigilat mauris

I don't understand why schadenfreude isn't a valid means of happiness.

Certainly it's cynical and vindictive, but that's no impediment to a good time.  In fact, in the right circumstances, it's fantastic.

For example, Rangers FC died.  A football club notorious for its violent, bigoted, racist, disgusting fan base.

For years they achieved success by way of cheating, both on and off the field.  Their fanbase vocally supported terrorism, despised their own nation, and upon reaching their first major European final in years... smashed Manchester city center to pieces in a drunken rampage which also saw them set fire to property and attempt to murder police officers.

The entire institution was a disgusting, evil, stain on the face of society.

Then their club dies as a result of massive fiscal malfeasance.

It was fantastic.

Planting a tiny seed and watching a little green plant pop out of the soil  :)

I had a bag of organic apples and every time I opened one up the seeds were sprouting inside. Now I have a miniature orchard going. Can't wait to harvest these suckers in like 5 years. HAH! Stupid store. Now who controls the apples? POPPLE CONTROLS THE APPLES  8)

Watch out, we're coming back soon. Laugh you talk about terrorists considering your supporters and history. Big Jock knew, by the way. Your lot should have friendlies with Penn State. A lot in common and things to talk about.

Our supporters?

Ah, you think I'm a Celtic supporter because I have the username 'Kelt'.

Absolute genius, right there.

It really doesn't take very much for your sort to revert to type, does it?

As I said, absolutely disgusting creatures to a man.

"revert to type"? At least we don't cover up and apologize for paedophiles or have them in our schools and churches- or at least not in such numbers and a culture/history of covering up and protecting them.

Kelt

Once again, I'm not a Celtic supporter, genius.

But I see you're straight into the "whataboutery" your sort always uses as a default defence for your filthy behaviour.

Quelle surprise.

You crack me up, missed ya, popple.

You know what makes me happy?  Setting out for the near-impossible goal of getting a job, and doing it.  I fucking did it.
A legit, non-phone-bone, real-life, good-hourly-pay job.  Popple may control the apples, but the 007 in me still lives!

Count me among the few, the proud, the paycheck-cashing-employed.   8)

Oh yeah, another thing that makes me happy is that they sell laser pointers at the dollar store.

Big time congrats, Redacted!  It's nice to have you back here; I am looking for a new job myself.  Got any tips as one who just made the leap?

Oh, the Heat just lost!  That makes me happy.  Go buy a championship some other year.

Yeah. I like that the Spurs are so anti-Heat and anti-Miami. Just solid skills, unselfish play, good defense, no promotion of gangsta or clubbing lifestyle, no trash talking, long-term careers with the same team, and I love how Coach Pop always gives reporters hilarious or condescending answers to their stupid questions. I know the NBA hates them and that makes me laugh every-time they win.

I didn't know the Heat had any gangsta flavor, Albrecht, but I am thrilled that money doesn't always win.  (Does it, Mr. Cantor?)

Thank yeeeeeewwww.

First, accept your mission.  You are getting a job.  Ignore the news reports, as well as what most people have to say about the current job market.
Second, do not, I repeat, do not let anyone take your head out of the game with their own daily, petty bullshit; you are on a mission.
Third, find a way to make yourself stand out.  There's competition, but it is not too difficult to land a position if you're just a bit shiner than the rest of the rusty bolts out there.  Don't be afraid to use a little humor on your resume, too.
And finally, bring the energy and all the confidence you can fake.  In the end, that's what got me the job.

I also had to brush up on my resume and interview skills.

You can do it!   8)

Ha. Yah about Cantor. I'll bet he has some ulcers. Sad thing is I'm sure he is already getting paid as some lobbyist or something. Re: Miami. I'm sure they aren't real gangsters but the trash talk, the clubbing, all the tats, and individual self-promotion. And the city's stereotype and self-promotion. Miami vs SA. And the team-work and loyalty in SA. I note the international element in that team. I think they grew up playing the game and not playing the game to fit a flashy life-style. Unselfish, team work, and good defense and let the work on the court speak for itself. And, of course, Manu who is the hero for every victim of male-pattern baldness!

And I just love how  the Coach shuts down reporters by replying to their stupid and repetitive/predictable questions.

Roger all that, Albrecht... I lie good ol' fashioned team play, grit, and substance over flash.
