Welcome, so sorry to inform you that today is send a missile to noory day.
I was aware of that, which is exactly why I am in my twenty five million dollar bunker. Benefits

Welcome.  This is the week we require each new member to post an answer to the question - Could you be an angel?
of being...an Angel obviously. Of course I am you nitwits. How else could I get a bunker?

Oh, right. I also hold a controversial opinion. I know the missiles are incoming as I type this, but...I don't hate George (S)Noory. I just think he is bad at being a Radio-man. Like, really bad. ("Gosh, I guess so right?") He, in my opinion is a good person. He just needs to make Coast to Coast his OWN SHOW instead of trying to be Art with a porn mustache.

I go back and forth on that. I like how the guy handles his critics here. He seems to have a relatively healthy understanding of what a huge ball of cheese he is, and he seems friendly enough. But his account of events that transpire behind the scenes are wildly contradictory to Art's, and the amount of damage control that he does after they come to light leads me to believe that maybe he's a bit manipulative.

Ya know I kinda agree with you on this part at least, I have seen him display some good-natured self-deprecating humor and such.  But it's weird, sometimes he also affects a kind of god-like air that he rescued the show and they have great ratings etc.  Anyway for any futher discussion of Noory cheesball-ness levels please proced to the GNS thread.  :)

Oh and welcome to the board NXOEED & Fyre too.

Nailed it.
Many people find this site after googling 'george noory sucks' but I came here after googling 'art bell quits coast?'.
I was previously aware of this site but had stayed away as I had no problem with noory. I found him goofy but lovable, god forgive me. But his cagey non-comment about Art's retirement "he's winding down folks" led me to believe that Art had some terminal illness or something and I went looking here for news. This eventually led me along that road of polite criticism followed by mounting hatred leading to ultimate indifference that so many of us are familiar with.
If he'd just had the balls to say "Art's decided to retire and at the moment I don't know why exactly" I would never have entered this nest of haters. HaHa.

Greetings to all earthlings, angels, demons, ghosts of pizza rolls past and shadow mice!

I used to listen to Art pretty regularly back in the 90s.  When he really left C2C and Jorch took over, it just wasn't the same and I lost interest.

Problem is, I am a chronic insomniac- so I'd drift back on occasion.  I've been laid-up for a bit while recovering from surgery and I began listening on a more regular basis.  My, my... What hath Jorch and Tammy done to Art's show?!  Sigh...

I found BellGab while searching for info on the goofy Numbers Lady when she was last on.  I must have spent 3 straight hours reading threads here, especially Jorch's Eyepad!  PaperBoy's cartoons made me laugh harder than I have in quite a while, and is what inspired my user name.  I originally wanted it to be Glynis McCunts, but wasn't sure if it'd be too crass :P

It's such a relief to find others who think Jorch & the Charlatan to Midnight suck.  PremRat should rename it "Ghost of Coast" because that's truly all it is, now.

Very happy to have found BG!  I'm looking forward to catching Bateman's podcast (and to his next prank call...)

Onan, I enjoy your posts.

Zeebo, I like squirrels :)

Ziznak, your avatar cracks me up!

Bateman: it looks like Tommy is slipping Jorch the ol' "Heimlich Maneuver" on that sign :D  (...yeah, save me a seat on the Express Bus to Hades.  I'm a female with a 12-yr-old boy's sense of humor, heh.)

Thank you all for making a fellow hater feel welcome :)

Hello everyone!

Very happy to be approved so I can post. I am Nancy Birnes, wife of Bill and editor of UFO Mag, which is transitioning from all-print to sometimes-print. I also co-host a live show (Future Theater) here on DMR on Saturday nights at 6 pm EST.

But I also wanted to let you know that my new producer Angel Espino has his own show called Skywatchers which is having its live debut right now. Hope you can listen!

I am so thrilled to be part of this whole platform. It's custom-built for Art Bell but we can all play here, too, which is cool.  :)

We meet near the hot pockets in the frozen food aisle. Mention "pepperoni" and you're in.

Meanandnasty

My secret place has the password of turkey.

I can just imagine noory putting a butterball between two pieces of bread.

I will have to check them out. I picked the name pretty much off the top of my head with maybe a bit of a nod to Reservoir Dogs. ;)

Welcome, but let's get right to the point.  Is Bill really as insane as they make him appear on tv?

nbirnes

Well, he is afraid of the samsquanch. And he is very intense. However, that weird yellow tinge that you pick up from TV is a result of what Stan Friedman, I think, calls the "ridicule curtain." If you can make people who are asking questions out to be buffoons, then you can also laugh off the questions.

He got really scared when he saw the cow/human fetus photos and at that point, I'm sort of glad the powers that be decided to laugh. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so funny.

Little Hater

We'll also expect full details of Bill's (and your) falling-out with Noory.

MV/Liberace!

a big 'allo to all of the new people who've shown up recently.  glad to have you.

Thank you all for the really warm welcome. This is definitely the place to be, and I hope I can add some meaty bits to the discussion. ;)

Hi all,

Been listening to Art Bell/ Coast not nearly as long as many of you, just since 2008. Also been enjoying some podcasts from DMN and from members on here.

I've lurked these forums for several months or so, finally decided I should join so I can add things like opinions or pizza roll safety tips.

Should be fun. Cheers!
