I missed it. During that night Sirius kept dropping out constantly and I got tired of continually having to log back in only to find it crashing again and went to bed.

Falkie, you ROCK bro!! We need more people like you. Im also a BIG animal lover. What part of Nor Cal are you from? I am from Mendocino county and have tons of family in Sonoma county too.

Martinez. 30 miles from San Francisco, just across the Bay from Benicia, 10 miles from Concord and 15 from Walnut Creek.

You can't get much closer to the Bay than I am. If you walk straight down my street, 8 blocks later you hit the Martinez Marina and then you'd walk INTO the edge of San Francisco Bay.

And the Bay is felt here every day with periodic fog in the early mornings and ice cold winds coming off it too late at night, even in the late hours of the summer sometimes.

Of course, certain talk show hosts and phony and vague prognosticators THINK its MY name ...

Given Art's message on BellGab and his Facebook the other day it baffles me as to why Keith would pick up this blog article about the beginnings of the #FreeArtBell campaign. Doesn't that send a mixed message? Or is the story a plant to take the focus away from the actual genesis of the campaign?

Maybe I'm reading way too much into it. I do love a good conspiracy. There are no coincidences. Or so a moron once told me.

I wound up having cats back in 1977, when my first girlfriend Julie came to me and asked me sweetly :

" I'm going to Oregon for a week. Would you please watch my cats ? "

Well being desperately in love with her, I said yes.

I had never had a cat before and wound up with 4 and eventually ( much to my regret ) gave 3 of them away and then had one cat get pregnant and I wound up with 15 in a studio apartment, got evicted ( later quashed by agreement ) and moved to Sacramento, got married and had 6 cats and then separated and had 4 and had cats ever since.

I didn't know about spaying and neutering then but I learned about it.
My personal bane is fleas. With the cats continually wanting to go owwwwwwttttt I can never get a handle on it no matter what I do. I do put advantage on them and bomb the house periodically and wash all bedding, put down carpet flea killer, but with all the other ferals around this building and around this area, its a losing battle.

Martinez is full of stray cats. When I take walks I see strays almost every day and my heart aches because they have no home, no warm place to snuggle up in and no person to love them.

Same thing goes for stray dogs too. I hate animal shelters that KILL animals because there's no room for them and were it up to me I'd have anyone who hurts an animal executed.

And with particular emphasis on an Oakland cop who shot a cowering frightened deer in an Oakland back yard in front of a little kid because he thought it was dangerous. He shot the poor thing 7 times !

We were put here by G*d to take care of our animals and not abuse them.

Yes, I know we raise certain animals for food, but I see animals being abused on Animal Cops and it enrages me that these people only get fined and not sent to prison.

I love animals and love kitties and cannot imagine my life without them.

Was a huge story locally in the East Bay with lots of outrage from animals rights groups.
Of course, the Alameda DA did nothing about it, neither did the Oakland PD and the sob is still a cop.
He should have been indicted for animal cruelty.
This is the kind of cops we have who should have never allowed to carry a gun much less be as cop.

Back then I hadn't had a pet since I had my dog Louie at 12.
I literally didn't know anything about cats and even had to figure out what food they ate.
And while I could have afforded to spay them ( all 4 were females )  I didn't know you had to.
What gets me is with millions of strays around and millions of unneutered/spayed dogs and cats being allowed to roam free, irresponsible pet owners have this weird idea that its somehow " unnatural " to spay/neuter their own animals.
They'll spend thousands on their pickups but not take their cats or dogs to the local shelter to get them fixed which really doesn't cost that much as many shelters have low cost programs.
Maybe we should spay or neuter the owners as well.
