I used to go to the Starry Plough quite a bit, back in the day.  They have Harp Pale Ale on tap:  my favorite.  Saw lots of good bands there, over the years.

Do you remember the Berkeley Square?  I used to go there a lot, too.  Berkeley is a lot more fun than Oakland.  I like the collegiate environment there.  Nothing nicer than walking through the UC campus in fall:  it's beautiful right now.

I no longer live in Oakland, but I live near to Oakland and I work in Oakland (one block from Lake Merritt, which I walk around every day:  I could use that Glock and pitbull then).

I actually didn't care for Berkeley much. Too many fuckin' posers. Not like O-Town, where we were keepin' it real, yo! Ghetto chic, all the way!  ;)

Art, one thing that is a shame is with this storm that could have killed my loved ones in Cebu City, if you had been on the air, you would have been able to raise awareness and get people to send help.  I know you had to do this, but the timing is cruel because you care about the people there just like I do, and too many Americans will just say, let them suffer...  I am so thankful that the storm didn't destroy Cebu City, if it had been just 20 miles or so further south, Alain might have been killed (my wife there).  What angers me, is in another forum, the attitude is tough luck by many of the far right wing people.  Convenience Christians I call them...
Why on earth would you say American's would say lst them suffer. Very uncalled for. American's are and have been the most generous people on earth. Our Navy and USMC was on the way ASAP. Sorry dude but I take offense take that remark. When was the last time the USA didn't respond to help in a disater...try NEVER.

Looks like the Spirit Chaser has hit the dusty trail.

I had deja vu, like maybe some incarnation thereof has been through this way before.

Holy Shit...I have been listening to Clyde for about 45 min and it has been about 15 min Him, 15 min Commercials and 15 min Intro...wow....5 hours to do a 2 hour show pretty much. Well I'm giving it a bit more of a shot but if this is it forget it...

To be fair, I don't think that he was referring to all Americans or the American government. Unfortunately, however, there are people out there who do have the "Let those damn foreigners suffer!" mentality.

Luckily, the good Americans far outnumber the bad.

Yah briefly said good evening and that he'd be back after having dinner. Hence why Jazmunda and I were wondering what he ate for dinner.

My guess a ribeye and potatoes

Sadly we may never know. One of life's great mysteries. Bigfoot. UFOs. Ghosts. Art's supper.

Your lunches usually look as good or better than my suppers. You must have a fantastic option near your office.

Did Art give an update tonight?

He dropped some wisdom and then went to dinner. Jazmunda's here, so I don't think he's ever coming back.

You repeat yourself here same as you do in the politics threads.
It just smells of spam at this point.

The word "supper" drives me insane for some reason.

And each time he comes back from a commercial he recaps for 10 mins! It's maddening.

Yes my brother in law's cafe. I'm the landlord and get deliveries straight to the office. How's that for lazy?

Once Jaz used it I had to. It's so old fashioned, it probably pisses you off because of hearing it when you're a kid "don't be late for supper!"

I never actually use the word but it sounded better than dinner in the sentence. :)

Does the cafe deliver to California?

Fantastically lazy.

I can only imagine what Paul and Art think of this thread now that it's gone to gun discussion and use of the word supper.

That's gonna put a real dent in Hee Haw's ratings.

I never liked supper. It seems like a 'valley' term here in the eastern part of PA

Brings new meaning to "the Last Supper".  And it's not like we have a radio show to discuss anymore...

Yea when I had to live on the East coast for awhile the guys I worked with called lunch supper. The first time they asked me if I was ready to go for supper at noon I was taken back. I didn't know what they meant lol.
