She's got good make up artists. Look at photographs of her in the UK (there performing on stage) over the past few years, especially those taken by the paparazzi, she does look her age. She's still a very pretty woman, but she's no spring chicken.

Reminds me of the time I literally almost ran into/over Diana Rigg as she was coming out of a theater backstage door on Leicester Square one afternoon back ten or so years ago. A far cry from the Mrs Peel I yeared for tragically as a teen back in the early 70s.

In case some of you didn't know it, Steve was mugged tonight in NY, and the thugs kicked him on the head. He seems to be fine, but will get himself checked out by a doctor just in case.

I'd like to request that anyone reading this, please send your prayers and keep him in your thoughts.
May all be well, and Steve continues to be healthy and strong.

Karma would be the thugs meeting up with some tougher thugs or meeting up with a professional carrying or expertly trained in martial arts. It sucks. But I hope they are caught, if not the former options. Hope Bateman is ok and recovers fine and did go to get checked out because sometimes it can take a day for effects to happen- so better to be safe than sorry.

Not sure either of those would do any good against three or four big thugs rushing you from behind when you're not paying attention. Being in possession of a gun would have only gotten him shot, which they had already threatened to do if he had looked up.

We had a case like that around here. A retired couple on vacation were shot and killed in their motor-home with their own gun.

I hope Steve is doing OK today.

I'm not suggesting Steve should've been armed (in that situation as described the thugs now, likely, would have another gun by which to commit more mayhem) but hoping the thugs now meet up with other thugs (or a cop or a trained citizen) who is and that would be karma.

Haven't heard but hope he got checked out and is well and just resting. Even if you aren't "hurt" seriously being mugged and attacked is traumatic.

Glad you're OK, considering. It's good to see you posting anyway. No one ever pays attention to their surroundings. The City has gotten so family friendly the past few years with Times Squared cleaned up and a general tourist friendly attitude, that it's easy to forget you're in the belly of the beast. Just glad things didn't turn out worse for you.
