if by "member of mv's inner circle" you mean "someone mv enjoys conversing with and whose presence he enjoys"... i'd say you're not faring well.  sorry, i do enjoy some people more than others.  i'm human.  i have nothing to prove to you.

Changing topic back to GabCast, the last broadcast and the subject was about ghosts.

True story,  did a lot of good in the world for many people from information a dead relative's ghost whispered in my ear.
It was clearly his voice and the information was knowledge that only he would of known.
No one else except me would of understood what his message was about and I never would of thought it up by myself. And after receiving the the information

I also understood why it so important to him that the it was past on to only to me. I completed his life's work, that would of came nothing, because others would of used his life's work for their personal gain.

Not to offend... But watched the first half and thought it was kind of lame. All over the board making stuff up trying to connect dots. I rate it as watchable if a fan of the The Shinning.

from what i understand the movie was made kind of tongue in cheek.  Some of the theories like the boner and the chick that mapped out all of the rooms is just crazy.  I could see there being truth to some of the symbolism though.  The native american theme onan mentioned seems plausible.

This most recent show was my favorite episode yet. I just finished my first listen-through so I thought I'd post a few thoughts while this show is fresh in my mind.

- First off, good job all of you. The conversation was really great and you guys have gotten very comfortable doing the show. It's a hell of a lot of fun to listen to, feels like three friends sitting around and hanging out. Very easy to listen to.

- I also really like the show having a theme! I was a bit surprised that I preferred a pre-set topic more than the free form style, but there was so much to say particularly because the subject is so broad. I really wish I had the chance to call in, and while I was listening I was actually a bit pissed off that I had to miss the show live. I have not experienced that with any other show. Even with Art's shows, I have never heard an older one and thought, "I really wish I could call in".

- As for the subject at hand, there are many interesting comments to add. One thing with respect to the debunking and stuff I would add, besides crop circles, is the "rods" phenomenon of Jose Escamilia. Art did a show where he really ripped Jose a new one when an article came out showing what camera settings to use to make any bug appear like a "rod". There's a reason why we don't hear about them anymore. So when I hear a new show with Ed Dames or Reed or Greer or one of the other usual suspects, I have to roll my eyes. The only ones keeping those frauds around are the hosts - including Art - and there are plenty more interesting and new weirdos to get in on the act today. I also feel that there are plenty of much more interesting things that hover on the edge of being considered paranormal, many of which we've discussed here in the past in one form or another including examples like "Bloop" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop). Dyatlov pass is another that I am happy to say I first heard discussed on Dark Weekend. These things are true mysteries and that's what many of us crave in these types of stories (memes?), as opposed to stuff further out on the fringes (like an alien in a freezer).

- A few interesting side tracks came up too, especially with the "wild west of the internet". I have been going through some (perhaps) misplaced nostalgia lately for the old days and I've had a few conversations about this with friends lately as well. I miss everything about the "ritual" of connecting by modem, something that was also brought up on the show. Actually the softest spot I have is for the old BBS', a surprising number of which are still up and running through telnet. Good times. - I like the unexpected Noory drops, "How are you?", "Ah yes", etc. You guys should be a bit more liberal with those. I had a chuckle when I heard you playing with them during the show. Also the redneck accent is perfect too, I'm not sure who is doing that (Eddie Dean?).

- Overall great effort and hopefully I will be able to listen live and chat next week. The show keeps getting better and better and it's entertaining just to hear you guys settling in and getting comfortable.

We'd appreciated some feedback guys. We know we suck as broadcasters so no need to stick the boots in. What we really want guidance on is the content. Do you like the paranormal talk? We wanted to present it from the point of view of the long time listener and not an expert on any of the topics. Basically we were talking about the subjects as we would on this forum. For example, guests/topics we liked/disliked, any experiences we may have had, who's a fraud and who's legit, impressions of the first time we heard the topics etc. Do you want more of this?

Jazmunda - just keep doing what you're doing. I absolutely love the Gabcast - it's a bunch of friends having a chat.  And I love it for that.  Stay as you are.  New fan here because of that.
