Pretty smooth episode! You guys are increasingly at ease. Liked Jaz's somewhat scatological story.  In fact I've lived Jaz's story. I bet most of us have at some point in our lives. Mierda Liquida! ¡Aye, carajo!

I appreciated MV's clarification on certain issues. MV opined on one particular user I had a slight brush with. As MV said, unusual case. It was like talking to an extremely intelligent precocious 12-year old, a junior Mensan perhaps. Would argue and debate like a champion high-school debater yet would also pepper his post with random condescending jabs. And did it indiscriminately with whomever user he was addressing. Almost like a mechanistic sophisticated bot program. Arguments were mainly surface and semantic, and shifted from issue to attack-jab back to issue, etc. Smart kid though. Why do I fear he's actually 58 years old? Like MV says though, it's what we see on the 'net these days, people who feel distanced by the invisible wall, feel emboldened to not treat the other person as if they are standing there in front of them.

Also could relate to the southwestern desert "cholla" (cactus) stories. Used to drive down to Mesa, AZ yearly where the Saguaro and Cholla cactus live. I've been there when there was too much rain, the Saguaros just limply toppled over from all the excess water they'd absorbed, and I saw cars literally crushed from  a saguaro that had fallen onto them. They weigh tons alright.

And my brother had a horrible run-in with those cholla cacti. Painful. Wouldn't let anyone near him. The barbs fester, get inflamed.

Did MV and Aldus make a quiet exit?  I didn't hear them say tgheir goodbyes. Or maybe I dozed off for a moment? I thought I stayed awake, all the way through Onan's gun rally.

I agree, although something did bug me a bit. At one point it was said, "if anything, gun owners are more responsible than other people." I may of gotten the quote wrong, but I think that was the gist of it. I can't really see how someone is more responsible than me just because they are a gun owner.

Ugh, please please take this kind of talk to the guns thread at a minimum, but hopefully over to politics.  I enjoyed listening to onan, but there is a reason they shut the show down so abruptly.   Talk like this between people who don't agree goes nowhere.

if its any consolation, i feel the same way about alcohol as you do about guns. IE if it were within my power, i would eradicate alcohol fom the universe, and make it so it can no longer exist. but alas that is not within my power. yes i have good reasons (yes more than 1) and no i dont feel like discussing them on a public forum.

That was me. I said it. I meant it, but I certainly see your point of view. What I was trying to say is that there is more responsibility for a gun owner than a non-gun owner. I didn't mean to imply that people without firearms are not responsible.

drugs yes, and they would be legal and regulated, at least better than today (which is not at all) .

i just dont see any value in locking up people for simple possession of mj (which is by far the most predominant).  also if you ask any cop, they will say that 80+% of domestic violence is fueled by alcohol, along with a majority of violent crimes.

There must be a cure for public restroom timidness or embarassment. Out in the wild or bush, I don't think other wild animals in the area are going to start laughing or attacking. There must be a way to prove a theory of how offensive an unusual load is w/a portable recorder and loudspeaker. Probably different recordings would be needed for male and female public restrooms. Don't want no emergency services called if it sounds like a lady is giving birth complete w/baby wails. A 10 minute recording of more unusual ones started while walking into bathroom would probably take care of most though.

BTW, if you got to go #2 in public quickly, suddenly, and restroom available, don't hold it. Some types of food poisonings or poison eaten can erode the digestive tract so badly if you hold it will cause much more damage and internal bleeding medical attention (the sooner the better) will be required to survive.
