Zombies over run walmart over EBT (foodstamp) failure? (Picture and Videos)

Folks, I could not make this up. I've seen the video/pictures and story that's left me speechless.

http://www.ksla.com/story/23679489/walmart-shelves-in-springhill-mansfield-cleared-in-ebt-glitch

I feel ashamed to be be living within 1,000 miles of this place.
In the words of my great idle man Tommy Sotomayor "WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON!"

Here's the short version of what happened:
The EBT machine went down. For those Yuppies out there, the EBT is a card that used to be known as Food Stamps.
Well the EBT card reader went down, and Walmart said they would let the EBTers check out their items regardless of what their card balance said.
The people basicly said "F**k, lets take everything we can fit into our shopping carts! Walmart say we have no limit!"
BTW
Where I live, I am the only house that I know of that Isn't on EBT, and I proudly say that even though it's pretty dang pathetic if you think about it.

Here's the pictures

This is the photo taken after the EBT machines came back up. When the free spree ended, they just walked off leaving their carts.

And here's the videos

http://youtu.be/WXlvpmQ_ip8
and another

http://youtu.be/Mb4KOSoSQro
and for those of you who think this is only blacks, here's your video of some half breeds doing it too.

All of this stuff is so disgusting it makes me want to cry. Where has my country gone?

And half the country is insisting we entrust government with something as precious as our health.

It's really too bad we don't have videos of Chrysler, CIT Group, First BanCorp, South Financial Group, Sterling Financial Corp, First Banks, Inc., Pacific Capital Bancorp, Dickinson Financial Corp II, Central Pacific Financial Corp, Anchor BanCorp Wisconsin, Midwest Banc Holdings, Integra Bank Corporation, Metropolitan Bank Group, Old Second Bancorp, First Place Financial Corp, Superior Bancorp, Seacoast Banking Corp, Cadence Financial Corp, Cascade Financial Corp, TIB Financial Corp, Trinity Capital Corporation, Marquette National Corp, First Security Group, Farmers Capital Bank Corp, Tennessee Commerce Bancorp, Colony Bankcorp, Princeton National Bancorp, Rogers Bancshares, Citizens Bancshares Co., National Bancshares, Park Bancorporation, First Community Financial Partners, Inc., FC Holdings, The Baraboo Bancorporation, United Bancorp, Florida Bank Group, Inc., First Financial Service Corp, First Trust Corporation, First Federal Bancshares of Arkansas, CoastalSouth Bancshares, Inc., Community West Bancshares, First Reliance Bancshares, Blue Ridge Bancshares, Alliance Financial Services, Central Virginia Bankshares, Stonebridge Financial Corp, Ridgestone Financial Services, First Community Bank Corp of America, Citizens Bancorp, Delmar Bancorp, Sonoma Valley Bancorp, GulfSouth Private Bank, First Sound Bank, Millenium Bancorp, Central Federal Corp, NC Bancorp, TriSummit Bank, Community Financial Shares, Inc., Pierce County Bancorp, First Intercontinental Bank, FPB Bancorp, First Southwest Bancorporation, One Georgia Bank, Legacy Bancorp, Franklin Bancorp, Inc., Blue River Bancshares, Virginia Company Bank, and a crap ton more that haven't paid back the money loaned.

The list I bring to the table isn't representative of those with poor coping skills or lack of food in their cabinets.

The favored game of non-achievers that argue for socialized government to makeup for the things they are unwilling to provide for themselves or their families.

Rubbed in what, exactly? Your premise is false; your facts flawed; your logic failed, and your morality questionable.

Moral equivalency... that is your stance? really?  OK, so basically it is ok to be aghast at people that tried to scam the system in a grocery store. But big business can't be put on the table to show how it isn't just poor people that scam?

Can you say hypocrite?

Heather Wade

I've yet to meet even one human that isn't a scammer in some way.  (I am no different or better.)  Point well illustrated.

Heck Walmart is one huge scam.  Look at the wages they pay people. Look at all the personal businesses they kill when they move into town. Why do you think their prices are so low?  Slave labour all over the world  - that's what they stand for! Fuck Walmart.  They are nothing more than an evil empire.  That company can't disappear quickly enough.
Too bad the fun stopped so soon.  The damage they've done to communities is far greater than what could ever be stolen out of their stores. You wouldn't catch me dead inside a walmart store for these reasons, also for the fact the whole store environment makes me physically sick.  They herd people around in there like obedient cows. I'd rather starve than give them my money!
They hook people in by their low prices - all junk amde from china contaminated with all sorts of crap.
Walmart must be stopped

Consider this:  "Sylvia Allegretto, a labor economist at the Center on Wage and Employment Dynamics, found that as of 2007, the Walton family â€" heirs to the Walmart fortune â€" had a net worth equal to that of the bottom 30 percent of Americans" (Source:  Think Progress).

You guys are morally bankrupt for even bringing wealth up.

I know, right?  And I'm sure that those heirs all worked very hard are very thankful for their fortuitous birth in the Walton family.

Cynnie

Where was this at ? Im sure the manager of that store has been fired , ive been in a walmart when the ebt went down and all they did was hang signs saying " no ebt" ..easy peasy

That was just stupidity all the way around

About the banks and all of them leaning Republican - you know that how?

Because I've worked at the headquarters of a large national bank and I wasn't aware of a single colleague that wasn't the typical Lib (although I should say where I live only the Libs, 'Progressives', and Leftists are allowed to talk about politics at work, so there may have been some non-Libs who wisely kept quiet.  I did, mostly)

As far as desperation and poverty at Walmart, I go to our local Walmart once every so often and I have not seen 'desperation and poverty'.  Mostly it's low income illegal immigrants - who have jobs, vehicles, places to live, food and clothes, etc and seem to be pretty happy and doing ok, as well as the rest of the people that live around here.

These were just opportunistic thieves whose lifestyle is taking handouts and thinking the rest of the world owes them something.

Given that a huge number of people are either young and just starting out, or blow everything they make and save nothing, or didn't get an education and maybe aren't very enthusiastic workers and thus don't have good jobs, or had a personal financial catastrophe like a divorce, or live on welfare - based on this stat I'm guessing he bottom 30% own a car, clothes, and personal items, and that's it.

It's easy for someone with a billion dollars to have more money than a whole lot of people in this category.

It's an example of using statistics for propaganda purposes.

They want people to conclude it isn't faaair (waaaah) and to be in favor of yet more tax increases.

The real answer is for these people to be more responsible for themselves - save some money, put in the effort to get an education, be a better employee and get a promotion or put themselves in a better position to get a better job, start their own business, etc.

Building wealth makes a lot more sense that redistributing what we have now and killing growth and incentive.

I'm mad at the above mentioned just as much as I am the one(s) whom loaned it to them.
This goes for Republicans and Democrats. The stimulas should have been for the people.

Ha!  Fair enough.

I'd just point out the D's seemed equally eager to give the banks money and to do their bidding.  The Keating 5 were 4 D's and 1 R (McCain), Goldman Sachs places their operatives in every administration regardless of party.  The destruction of the S&Ls and deregulation of the banks was bipartisan.

I think the banks and Big Business in general are not ideological or political at all - they bribe both sides with campaign cash, have easy access to both sides and lobby both sides.  They try to give more to the candidates they think are going to win and hedge their bets by also contributing to their opponents.

The one true bad actor in banking in the US is Goldman Sachs, the rest mostly just want to make loans and provide various other financial services for the fees.  I also wouldn't trust the Fed or anyone there either.

no argument from me on any of that.

There you go again;

I never said ''all the people in Walmart'' were democrats. I believe I said there were ''a whole lot'' of democrats.

Further, I proudly stand by my assertion. As history tells us, there aren't great numbers of Romney supporters holding EBT cards, especially the variety of which we see in these videos.

I worked at a Sam's Club for nearly 9 years and became vested(not a pun,I mean financially) and had $1.50 an hour of income go into the stock plan. Every year I would get a company report. Democrat politicos were always on the board of directors as both Hillary and Al Gore had served on the board just to name two I can remember. At the time I was in the program Wal-Mart kicked in 10% into what money the employee stuck into stock. I have a neighbor that works at a Wal-Mart and she says they no longer kick that 10% and they are cutting full time people back to 30 hours.

The rich get richer & the working man gets screwed as usual.
I talked to a woman who had just got off of work at Sears. They've cut her ( and will cut other people as well ) to 28 hours a week so they don't have to pay for O'bumacare.
She was grateful to have the job because she'd not had a job for 18 months and has a little girl to support.

" What's that Barry & Helicopter Ben ? You say the economy is improving yet unemployment keeps rising ? And millions are getting their hours cut who voted for you, Mr. Obama ? "

Pay no attention to the clown behind the podium and the one down the street at the Fed who's bailing out while he can before the Great Monetary Collapse !

Now take the time and see just where a random 5 of those companies contributed to and how much. I would daresay that some of the money went to candidates on both sides.

And it isn't always coping skills.
Some are doing their all to cope with few jobs out there and a dope who smoked dope in the White House who's done NOTHING for the black community, nor who created few actual jobs ( remember " shovel ready " that became the shovel of lies and bullshit that he finally had to admit to ? )  yet lined the pockets of unions, teachers and his crooked cronies who re-distributed the wealth back to the Democrats while conning Obama out of millions and billions of dollars before the companies they controlled declared bankruptcy, leaving the government holding the bag.
