Tonight's topic is mushrooms. THREE HOURS OF MUSHROOMS. Oh, and during the first hour, gold (of course).

It makes me want to weep.  :'(

Maybe They can talk about magic mushrooms! ;D

Given how Snoory seems to love Hollywood types, I'm surprised he hasn't had this guy on as a guest.

I'm also surprised that Snoory isn't hawking these, the vibrating massage pillow mushrooms.

I don't listen to Noory.  I gave that up a long time ago.  At first glance, though, I think his guests - most of them - look fine.  I just think Noory is a lousy interviewer.  He lets things slide that he should question.  I don't think he does his homework.  Art seems to have read some of the book, researched the topic, and creates a list of questions that he has just in case the conversation doesn't flow well.  He stimulates the interest of the audience even though they may not have been interested in the first place.

Noory, I think, has mental problems.  He needs an assessment and a good therapist.  He cannot think to any depth.  He loses track of the threads of a conversation easily.  His strange reactions remind me of talking to a guy who had taken a lot of drugs in the past and his brain is fried.

I also think such shows should not bend overboard to the right, both religiously and politically.  Doing so just panders to corporations, giving validity to an unthinking base that will do nothing to stop the pillaging of the planet. At least Art wrote a book and made a film that warned the public of our hand in climate change and the disaster it will bring to our offspring.  That's honest.

Well said, CornyCrow.
There are times Noory sounds like early Alzheimer's. I kinda liked him when he first stepped in for Bell but. now, I'd rather listen to my grandfather ramble. And his topics! Waaay too much afterlife crap: EVP, angels, near death. Waaay too much paranoia, i.e. GMOs, RFIDs and medical conspiracies. I've always listened for the flying saucers, time travel, anti-gravity. I love to listen to Hoagland's latest nonsense.

But, god spare me from Noory, Strieber and Howe.

Here's hoping he forgets where the studio is.

- good one, Coyle.  I'm with ya. Maybe we can arrange something.

Art didn't do paranormal every night but he sure as heck didn't do infomercials. Science, some politics when needed, Nanotechnology, weather ect.  If Noory doesn't want to do a predominantly paranormal theme show than he shouldn't do Coast to Coast anymore.

What's especially frustrating is that there's so much of health issues on radio generally that it's silly to have C2C on that beat too, especially since going on C2C is going to lower the credibility of purported experts on health.

It also bugs me how Peter Breggin has sunk.  This is a former Ayn Rand follower who focused on very different issues decades ago (as when I met him in 1980).  I don't think I've ever heard him come out & say he's changed his mind about legalizing mind drugs, and it could still be that he hasn't, but just doesn't want that opinion known these days as it might detract from his message about how bad mind drugs are generally.

July 11th, 2015,   what a lame C2C show. That's all I can really say to sum it up. Health and nutrition? Really?? And mostly negative health and nutrition,  as if the guest has some sort of new miracle answer or cure for all our ailments? Lame.
I thought that's what shows such as Doctor Oz and The Doctors tv shows were for.(And even those can be boring to listen to an entire episode.)
MAN, I can't wait until Art's new show is up and gaining momentum! Hopefully if the new show ever reaches the point where it's the #1 syndicated radio show again, he wil have enough power and control(hopefully!) to see that the show is never destroyed, the way C2C has been butchered.
My 2 cents anyway.
Thanks for letting me vent my disappointment.(once again)

I'm not real impressed with the way they address the anthrax bioweapon attacks in 2001.

I feel like if you listen to coast for 2 weeks , thats about what your going to get all month. Its almost getting recycled , same stuff just different guests. I never hear anything anymore that is like "WOW". I have learned so much stuff on other shows that i should have learned about or heard about on coast. I dont hate George Noory but it seems like Dave Shrader is kind of reviving the show as far as new paranormal stories. I am personally getting sick of hearing about the same stuff over and over.

You have to tune into Clyde lewis as well to get some new up to date things that will really make you think...

I bought a C. Crane radio and shit caned my XM. I haven't listened to Noory in about a year now and don't expect to ever again.

I feel very similar. At times i tune in and I can't tell if it's a repeat or live program. It seems like a repetitive of "Critical Health news" infomercial every month, spiritual healing BS. Politics stuff you can get on Fox or any other AM talk radio program and on those wacky nights religious end of dayers. Of course when we have a gun tragedy, like clockwork Jorch brings in the pro-NRA guy to remind everybody who the "real victims" are.

C2C normally has ten guests a week (2 a night) At best you get two maybe three on a good week being interesting and listenable. The rest is just really unappealing topics with unlikable guests.
