That question came-up not too long ago and I don't believe we ever quite figured it out.  The site seems to have lost it's search function.  I recall first seeing it being used around the time this thread started.  I just assumed Paper*Boy came-up with it along with his ingenious Jorch and Tommy cartoons but P*B claimed it wasn't him.  I can just hear Noory pronouncing his version of "George" every time I see "Jorch."

Anywho, "Jorch" was my favorite pet-name until "Dave" came along.  I still use "Jorch" but my favorite has become "Dave."  That one little name and the story behind it says so much about, yes, "Dave." 

I can see it now, hundreds of years from now, and somebody on the GNS thread will ask "Who is "Dave"?"

That's funny stuff Paperboy! How the heck did you master Jorch speak? Come to think of it, perhaps "Jorch" could be like name of his own language or perhaps "Jorchese"? Anyway when I read the stuff you write it's like I'm hearing Noory say it in my mind, and that's strange because otherwise I wouldn't ordinarily have been totally aware that he was doing that (with his forked devil tongue). I knew there was something wrong with the way he speaks--I just wouldn't be able to convert it to text. Maybe there should be an online Text-to-Jorch converter for those of us who are Jorch-impaired. On second thought maybe that's sort of an oxymoron since Jorch himself is impaired.
