Sure, but another guest said ALL esoteric traditions that he knew of said to go toward the light.  The bible even says Jesus is the light (so is Lucifer).  People who die often speak of going through a dark tunnel with a brilliant light at the end in which loved ones or some deity reside.  Some say the dark sides of the tunnel show souls who are trapped and suffering and if you try to help them you can get stuck there, too. 

I don't know how much of this is true, but I think the guy who said the light is a trick is a bs agent.  After that comment, I'd REALLY think twice before I attached any credibility to what he said.
