Likely has multiple accounts...but that's not what we're here to talk about.  Let's talk about the fact that this whole situation makes no sense.  How Art always uses excuses to quit and seems to really like creating drama.  First it was a falling out with Keith, then he threatened to not do the show if he couldn't have bumper music.  It's always something...I'm just failing to see why he bothered in the first place.

We understand and are just upset. What do those folks say on the newer, crappy version of C2C? Various stages of stuff? Denial, anger, etc, ? And eat some toomeric and read some palms. Family first, always. So be well and hopefully, maybe, some podcasts, guest-hosting, or a pre-recorded "Dreamland"-like podcasts? I hope that the harassment stops and the freak(s) are caught. Yeah, I kind of yearn for a "long haulers only" thread, no offense to the new people. But some of us have been around for years, even when he was off the air.

And here ya go, Chronaut! Take your best shot! I'm just questioning it though, and only because his repeated reasons for quitting are always kind of extreme. Also, so many people worked hard to help make this show a success â€" including all the people who donated money to his recent PR campaign or whatever that was â€" so that kind of sucks for them.

Additionally, a few months ago when I gleefully told my friends that Art was coming back, they all laughed and said, "For how long this time?" My reply was "NOPE! This time it's FOR REALS!" So I'm eating crow tonight in that respect.

Regardless, I wish Art well and I'm grateful for all the awesome nights of radio he's given us. I'll miss him. If he's really in danger, I hope his stepping down will satisfy his stalker, but if someone really hates him enough to torment him like that, maybe the show was only one of several antagonizing factors. That's my biggest concern if this is the real deal.

But hey, if all the chaos stops now that he's going off the air, I guess we should all look into Noory's and Tommy's alibis during the past few weeks. Maybe check to see if they have pizza roll shooters stashed in their car trunks.

There are other solutions. You didn't have to quit. I can't even imagine all the people who supported this show that you have disappointed. There is no reason why you can't record the show during the day while your daughter is at school & play it at night. I am sure your listeners would rather have a recorded show without callers than no show at all. Do you really think the nutcase is gone? If he is really the reason you quit and not that you just got tired of the committment then how can you say you will do a random show? You gave up too quickly & now the nutcase must think he was right & justified. This means you still have the problem. If you really didn't want to quit you would have taken a temporary leave until the guy was caught & the problem resolved. You would have hired the right people to determine who it is & capture him. But no, you just quit...again.

Thank you for the last five months of shows. A couple years ago if someone had told me I'd get to hear just one brand new Art Bell show about flying humanoids. I'd pay the past five months subscription costs to just hear that one show. It was always a show I wanted to hear you do in only a way you could do it which was excellent.  Was an awesome ride, and hope they lock up the folks involved terrorizing you and your family.   We were all lucky to get a brief final ride. There was always something about you doing the show and the subjects being discussed. Most of the questions I was wondering you would ask, and you would not let the guest bloviate endlessly. I've tried listening to Noory & others but it isn't the same & I can't seem to make it through hours. I will continue listening to the past five months of shows, and all your old shows off & on for years to come. Best wishes to you and your family. Once again thank you

…and there’s the rub.  I’m sorry Seraphim27, but it’s just so predictable, clichéd, insensitive, and just plain dumb to invent some elaborate conspiracy theory to dismiss the very real and frightening reality that Art and his family is dealing with.

I’m sick to death of people denying everything they don't understand by pulling the “elaborate conspiracy” card.  The Moon landing conspiracists, the Sandy Hook conspiracists, the Paris shooting conspiracists, the 9/11 conspiracists, the “Exit though the Gift Shop” conspiracists, the Darwinian evolution conspiracists, the global warming conspiracists…apparently *everything* is fair game for a conspiracy theory these days.  I'm over it.  Conspiracy theories are not a valid excuse for not thinking.
