Thanks, Velvet.  I think I saw the same thing you did, wrote myself a note to check out that site, then lost the note. lol.

Let us know if you hear Art.  I'll bet there will be a huge influx of listeners if you do.

Wikipedia reports:  “On July 20, 2011, Art Bell announced via his Facebook page that he had relocated with his family to Reno, Nevada, but has given no indication about his radio plans, if any (beyond maintaining his HAM activity).”  Note “RENO”!

now it makes more sense that he is selling all his old Pahrump stuff, to close down his old radio office there since he won't need it anymore and he can move to a new place in Reno for his retirement.

Airyn Bell is posting actively her progress with the remodeling of the interior of the house.  Her friends reply that its will be wonderful for you to have an updated house and your own space.  Airyn says Asia loves playing outside but there will be no landscaping "yet" because the interior is the focus.  She spends time researching desert planting on the internet, looking at neighbor's yards, etc.  Back and forth about loving the Philippines, missing them, and then to my great surprise, a friend posts and the response is from ART! 

He says he loves and misses the Philippines and so will they.

I know not everyone is into the details, but I am, so I'm sharing....

Anyone on Coastgab able to speculate as to WHY Art Bell and family are relocating back to the U.S. ?   

I have one theory:  little Asia is a U.S. citizen, and wherever she may end up as an adult, Art would like her to become somewhat Americanized, both in language, culture, etc.

By the way, I would be cleaning out or selling things that were linked to my past too if I were Art. I'm sure there is a heavy influence of Ramona in the home. I'm sure Art is done grieving, and making the home Art's and Aryn instead of Art's and Ramona's is therapeutic.

Why didn't they do the spring cleaning in Pahrump when they were there for a month or so a couple years ago?
So far it seems its the junk in the old radio office room thats being sold like the alien. Interesting.

I read someone posted today that on the Art Bell facebook page that little Asia has been saying lately she would love a little sister.
Maybe the plan is to convert the old radio room into a nursery or extra bedroom since its not needed for radio hosting work anymore?

Probably because they knew that they were not staying for good last time, and now they are. If I was in the US for a finite amount of time on a visit, I doubt I'd waste it cleaning my house

Another good reason to clean up a house and sell things is if you are getting ready to sell the house.
That would make a lot of sense prior to the family returning to Manila.

Perhaps, but Anagrammy had an earlier post that would get me thinking that he is staying. I posted long ago that if I was pushing 70 and smoked all my life I would like to be near Vegas hospitals too. In the end- only Mr. Bell knows if he is staying or leaving, and looking at Mr. Bell's track record, I'm not sure he even knows for sure.

I spend considerable time hiking in the high desert near Las Vegas â€" almost daily.  C2C has mentioned Janet Airlines or Janet Jets before.  This is the airline that transports workers from McCarran to Area 51.  Let me tell you, from my observation Janet Airlines could not be busier.  I see them overhead constantly.  Area 51 is very active right now.  I wonder what they are working on?

I think Mr. Bell will return to radio.  I don’t see him back at C2C unless GN leaves.  There is opportunity for him with satellite radio and the major AM radio stations in Las Vegas don’t have great evening programming.  So maybe, just maybe, he will do start a new radio program in the near future?  And I think he’s back in Pahrump to stay for good.

I am looking forward to Mr. Bell’s return to radio.  I think that his BEST program/interview has yet to happen.

Bell sold his popular program and it is typical that the seller be required, under contract, to hang around awhile during the transition until a new host is established and… and the former audience is stabilized under a new host.

I assume Mr. Bell did just this.

Once this has happened the buyer doesn’t want to see the seller anymore.  I have been in this situation before and it is standard procedure.

HOWEVER…

…two tragic events (among many) happened. #4 Mrs. Bell died and Art married #5 in a matter of weeks.

This changed everything and time was needed to sort things out.

Bell has adjusted to his new life thanks to time and space.  And he has sorted things out. 

It appears that Bell has concluded that he is the happiest in Pahrump.  Yay!

He’s a radio guy who like to broadcast at late night.  He’s in the Radio Hall of Fame and very popular.  And he likes Amateur Radio and Pahrump offers his dream station as it always has.

Bell will continue to sort things out so give him time and space.

From where I am as I write this I can be in Pahrump in 45 minutes.  I can be on Bell’s fence line in less than an hour!  I have never been there and I don’t want him on my fence line either. 

Leave Bell alone and let him be.  (73’s Bell).

Back to Area 51 and Janet Jets.  Flights have increased dramatically between McCarran and Groom Lake (Area 51)… and Edwards and White Sands and Dugway and Mercury… you can peek all you want to from Tikaboo Peak at Area 51 and see nothing.

But the action is at Tonopah Range!

Very interesting.  Somebody up to mischief, but to what end?  Here's a tidbit:  A photo of somebody's baby was posted and a friend of Airyn's wrote back that the baby was cute and what did Asia think of it.  Airyn replied, "She thinks there's a baby in my tummy and she wants a sister." 


I do believe that was a psychic precognition of one of our Coastgab regulars-- the last straw, a possible bun in the oven.....
