Merry Christmas everybody, I am still awake because Asia wished for snow on Christmas and that does not happen here except Paul (My old Producer) called me about 30 minutes ago and told me we have a good half inch on the ground so we woke up Asia and took pictures! Snow on Christmas or any day of the year is unheard of, this is about one in a million!

Hi Art; maybe the first snow on Christmas, but not the first ever. There's a couple vids on YouTube. I Googled "snow in Pahrump".  Maybe it was during the years you were in the Philippines?

I was talking about the show thread, she read that every night and it was pretty brutal. That's what I meant about one of our own. She has been a member in good standing for a long time and I know that doesn't get you much but maybe a little?

Art, I know you know this already, and I think our (Redacted) does too, but sometimes a little reminder can help. Subscribers are subscribers.  Some will be subscribing because they enjoy the show, others will subscribe because they are entertained by shows they like to poke fun at .  At bellgab, BOTH types of listeners are allowed to post.  It's not a sunshine and daisies kind of forum.  Subscribers are subscribers, and no matter if they like the show, or just like poking fun at it, their 5 bucks are all worth the same.  If this was more annoying than helpful, then please just disregard this post.

Merry Christmas Art & Family,  Did you know..this is the first Christmas Full Moon since 1977!  I noticed very much how your posts today are Art the Man speaking versus Art the Talk Host talking (not that there is a huge difference). And you are right, the commentary on here and on fb was beyond jabbing and constructive crticism - it was and continues to be way over top and across the line. You and Heather deserve better. I do not know that there is any civil place to post anything these days.  The annoying have become trolls, the trolls have become slanderous zombies and it looks like Internet Armageddon with tire fires everywhere, not just for you. Something has taken a turn for the worse and I'm not sure what it is. The general Feral behavior suggests something behind the scenes.
I would feel naive to send a prayer to a God that I am not sure is even there, but I guess I could send one out there that I hope humanity rounds the next corner. The reincarnation principle in some form is quite real and I dont want to come back to a worse mess. I do know one other thing for sure, that the programs you helped shape my views of the world and for that I am thankful.

Your (somewhat) return to the site is heartwarming to me. I'd find it reasonable for most of us to find the recent events to, at a positive, remind all of us that NOTHING is forever, enjoy what ya got and always know that all things are fluid.

It was quite apparent yesterday that the forum was settling down nicely. People were finally coming to terms with the fact, that Art was gone for good and no answers, to our many questions, would be forthcoming. Ever.

I woke up this morning, fully expecting to find one or two "Merry Christmas" posts and perhaps a few "Bah Humbugs". Christmas and all, people having better things to do, family stuff... you know, life. Little did I know, that while I slept, Santa Bell had crept into the forum and left us all a magical gift, the gift of drama! Pages and pages and pages of drama. Drama, drama, drama and even more DRAMA! Perhaps enough drama, to carry us well into the New Year.

I have spent 25 Years living here but am considering a move if this keeps up, it has really screwed up our lives here.

+1 ...exactly and/or at minimum that is how it seems.

Art, if in retrospect you now feel that you over reacted, it may still be repairable, however IMO it has to be done NOW.

If what you write is true: that you both loved doing MITD and that you made a mistake, you need to get back on the air and say so ASAP. You also need someone or you need to do some immediate schmoozing and damage control with your affiliates to get them to understand and buy that your reaction was made during a time of extreme duress.

You are a man of means way beyond most of us here I assume. Surely you can go through some minor inconveniences to ensure the safety of your family and continue with MITD until the current situation is resolved....that is, if you really want to do the show.

The ball is solely in your court Art. What you do or don't will be the "moment of truth".
