Welcome back.  I like "The Prisoner" and greatly enjoy Patrick M., but not to the point I'm going to shell out a lot of bucks for the DVDs.  I've got the complete collection of "Columbo," though, and he was superb as usual in his episodes with Falk, especially in one I believe was titled "By Dawn's Early Light."  Also, definitely one of the best bad guys ever with his role as Longshanks in "Braveheart."  I despised Longshanks so much, I ended-up loving McGoohan as an actor even more. ;)

Woa, I see there is another _The Prisoner_ fan here!  The single greatest TV series in English speaking history, way ahead of its time.

There are a few of us here.  I first saw it on PBS in the seventies, and was astounded.  There's never been anything quite like it.  Be seeing you.

He just oozed evil as Longshanks.  I love the scene where he pitches his son's know it all friend out the window!

"I have a TV show on the internet."  Did anyone else hear him say that?

And when they were discussing how progressive Star Trek was about the racial issues of the day, George threw in an inane comment about how much he liked The Jeffersons.  Criminy.

Ten cats named George--sort of like George Foreman's sons!  ;D  I bet she also has a huge crush on Richard Hoagland.

For once, Noory didn't mention To Serve Man and the Cornfield episodes of the Twilight Zone.  I applaud him for that at least.

Or the one with the robot nanny, his personal fave I believe.

Ha! I saw it as a Jackie Gleason summer replacement show in around 1968, which wasn't unusual as Secret Agent also did the same replacement act for several summers before that. :) Secret Agent helped me learn to pay attention and think logically, quite a treat for a ~15 year old :)

I think GNoory would pretend to know what we're talking about and we'd have to say, "There, there, go along now, little one, go play with your puppy, that's a good boy -- and don't try to drown that poor dog again!"

I didn't realize it until I checked Wiki but there were only 17 episodes of "The Prisoner."  It sure left a bigger impression on me for such a short run.  The old "quality vs. quantity" saw.

Ha, yes!  I was with Patrick on that call. ;)  As Jorch would say, "classhic!" :))

Wow ok I admit it, I didn't even know that was him, and I've seen that movie many times.  I guess that goes to his great acting ability. A performance for all-time that one.

Tonite first half is on cryonics, an interesting topic.  Art had a some great shows on it.  Hopefully some good stuff will percolate through the Snooron Interference Waves.

Second half is "Those open lines", which means a UFO Phil replay could be likely.

Hopefully, whoever freezes it gives him the Ted Williams special. I have a friend who works for a company that makes controls for cryogenic freezers... or something along those lines so tonight's show might be interesting. Neorge will probably spend most of the time asking about Walt Disney even though he wasn't turned into a human popsicle. My guess is they will try to keep the guest going so as to avoid taking many open line calls.

Perhaps some of our alien/cryptid sightings are actually of a far-future cryogenic Noory head on a spindly body time-travelling backwards.  Would explain alot.

Wasn't he a Naval officer? Having been a recently separated Navy "Veteran," I know for a fact that even our dumbass Medical officer (who prescribed me Motrin for my ulcers) knew about EMPs and Faraday Cages. And yet, not even a month ago, I called in to question George's guest about putting Faraday Cages on COMSats, which struck me as entirely detrimental. But he tried to reason that he wasn't advocating that, as it would "make the satellites too heavy." WTFthisshow.

George was, or so he says, in the Navy for nine years as a reserve officer.  He ended up as a Lieutenant and not long ago said that he "almost" made LCDR, but he got out instead.  More likely he was passed over (for promotion) too many times to stay in.  He was a PIO -- Public Information Officer -- a job which is usually given to the lamest of the lame.   The thing is when George went into the Navy -- somewhere around 1973 or 1974 -- it was in the final years of the extremely unpopular Vietnam War and guys were getting OUT of the service in droves.  Even huge re-enlistment bonuses couldn't keep people in and there was a real shortage of new people.  The door was open for just about anyone like George, with a college degree.

He obviously was just there taking up space.  Hell, wasn't it last week during the interview with ex-SEAL Jesse Ventura, that he admitted he'd never heard the term "sea story?"   You really have to be completely clueless to spend NINE years in the Navy -- even as a reserve PIO -- to not know what the term "sea story, " means.   The enlisted men around him must've pranked him hundreds of times...

From Noory's past statements he got in the navy with a "presidential commission" while Reagan was president in the early 1980s. He got out after 10 years, just before his unit was supposed to go to Iraq for the first Gulf War...
Noory wished he would have made Lt Commander, to be like James Bond 007 (Commander Bond)  8)

Ive always been interested in cryonics, too. Based on the blurb on C to C website, I'm bracing myself for some content that's in questionable taste, though I don't know anything about this guest, so should keep an open mind.
I think that even Noory knows that the Walt Disney story is an urban legend, but I'll bet he works in the Ted Williams story some way.

Maybe you will hear some real Sea Stories.

The guest is talking about the science and procedure for human cryogenic freezing and George comes up with the question "if someone were to take a hammer and bash their arm or something, would it shatter?"  I'm starting to believe everyone who says he morbid.

I think I see a sequel to They Saved Hitler's Brain in the cards.  Call it Morons of Mandoras.

As expected, Noory just asked the guest if Walt Disney was frozen when he died...

Noory should ask what happens if power is disrupted to the freezing labs for an extended period from an EMP...
Do the customers get a refund in that case?

Yes I was wondering that too.  Also I'd like to know does the freezing cause any damage at the cellular level?
