George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 01:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

if this guest were in my family, he'd have 3 options -  1) psychiatric help or 2) disowned or 3) punched in the face every time he opens his mouth about any of this nonsense

I hadn't of this Afghan giant business. Anybody heard of this?

Nice to see you, yumyumtree.  :D ;) It's been a while and have missed your movie recommendations.

yumyumtree

Oh well, that's true of so many of them. I notice he cited "evil" as the thing keeping Trump doing as he wants. Whatever.

LA Marzulli knows a lot about it.  There is a circulating story about a 12 ft giant who had to be killed by our soldiers as he was attacking us.

There's a fourth option.  Build him a little 'tower' outside where he can be on 'doomsday watch' - his ranting and arm-waving might scare away any unwanted visitors.

Another psychic talking about spirit guides and other bs.

i wish Thomas Jefferson was MY spririt guide. i guess some ppl just have all the luck!

other than Knapp and Syrett on the weekend i've run out of patience with Jorch and 90% of his guests,  rather listen to old time radio mysteries.

Ditto.  Or listen to good archived shows.  I hate living in the past though when it comes to C2C.  I do love nostalgic radio programs though.

I was listening to Clyde last night and just caught Jorch's opening before zoning out, thankfully.  After a report about the severe weather, including tornadoes, in the South, Jorch proclaims "it's too early for such weather!"  Eh, Jorch, ever hear about one of the greatest outbreaks of tornadoes ever, on April 3rd, 1974?

http://www.ustornadoes.com/2013/04/03/looking-back-at-the-april-3-4-1974-super-outbreak/

"Perhaps the most staggering fact from the 1974 outbreak was the amount of F4 and F5 tornadoes; an incredible 30 (23 F4s and 7 F5s)."

Thanks for never disappointing, Jorch.  You are a moron.

First guest last nite was actually pretty interesting - not on the weather stuff with its usual pointless generalizations and chemtrail fretting - but on the unrelated topic of bitcoins.  In fact, he was just starting to explain the technical nature of how digital currencies work when George blurts out - "What if the internet goes down! What then!  I have a bad feeling about that!" - thus succeeding in bouncing the topic right back up to the surface.  Sigh.  I thought for a minute I might actually learn something.   :(

The Jorch Black Hole won't permit it, Zeeb.  It destroys all knowledge.  Once inside Jorch's kisser, the black tar residue from Jorch's hair is deadly.  ;) ;D

Already have a Lock of Elvis' hair?  Add to your collection with a limited edition bottle of George's 'Stache Snips.

Well I'm back after a couple of week hiatus. I see Hoaxy still isn't back to his braaap chair, that Rosie is feeling saucy over there with girlnoory (good to see you feeling better Rosie!) and that Falkie is perfecting his grifting to a telethonic height...

But, but, does George Noory still Suck?

bwahaha! hahaha! I knew I couldn't do that with a straight face!  ;D ;D ;D

They would actually be nose hairs. When confronted he'd say "If I had let it grow it would have been part of my moustache."

He's better everyday, but only because he is the same and others are getting worse.

Thanks. Glad to know that my movie comments are appreciated.

So now it seems that Jorch will be appearing ONE BLOCK from where I live in Everett at the end of July. Assuming that the tickets aren't astronomically expensive, and I don't have a conflict, should I go or no?

So in other words, if any of you have ever said "I wouldn't go across the street to see George Noory", this will be put to the test.

"Formaldehyde--what they put in dead people."

Incidentally, I wonder if this guest has seen the movie Safe with Julianne Moore?

Well, if there is a Greek restaurant, or a 7/11 with turkee sammaches nearby, you could send him an email saying so then stake the place out...

Ah ... the Law of Noory Relativity.
Ha!  "Jorch can only appear to be improving when others have gotten worse."  Of course, just like regular physics and The Big Bang, in particular, Jorch won't get it.  He'll always think he's "Thuh Man."

yumyumtree

There's a 7-11 one block away in another direction( I think half my neighbors buy their groceries there) but it's not a very nice one. The owners are nice and try hard, but it's a pretty rough clientele. There was a Trump r
ally a few blocks east last fall. He quoted the Snake poem.

I can't think of any Greek restaurants, unless Romios pizza counts. There's a pretty good Gyro place, but it's not close. It's actually in a place where the risk of getting shot is higher than here.

It's funny, the Everett Historic theatre is  a venue I was commenting on in these boards a couple of weeks ago, because they have so many tribute bands.

If the 7-11 has cellophane wrapped, pre-made, turkee on whole wheat sammiches, and what are they odds it doesn't, I'd say you'll have a good shot of catching Jorch and Tommee at the "after-party" at that location.  Just don't block the Hostess snack cake aisle.  Tommee may confuse you with a Twinkee. ;)

yumyumtree

Well, that's good, because I looked up the tickets, and they're  $40, too rich for my
blood.

There's a spanking g new Marriott between the 7-11 and the theatre. Don't you think they would be more likely to go there?  I've been to the bar, and it's nice.

There was also a relevant subplot for a few episodes on the old show Northern Exposure.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jorch and Tommee stay at the Marriott.  Jorch will probably start at the bar during happy hour, to get "warmed-up" and check out the locals.  I could also see Jorch meeting-up with his senior citizen groupies after the event at the Marriott.  "Water's on Jorch, everyone!"

yumyumtree

Seriously this guest sounds like somebody who had a pretty impressive resume, but kind of went off the rails. I don't so much dispute  his illness, but some of his other remarks seem a little over the top, the name-dropping and everything.

I stopped listening.  Whether any of his claims are true are not, it was just too damn depressing.  :P
