More tampering of data by the NOAA.

http://realclimatescience.com/2016/10/more-on-the-noaa-texas-temperature-fraud/

This is the kind of shit that is really annoying. It's an article based on some dumbfuck Texas politician with an axe to grind. The article is quickly picked up by every right wing dissemination agency. And god forbid anyone question them, because doing so would mean questioning their bias on the subject.

People like Lomar Smith, who oppose taking action to slow global warming have focused their arguments on the past 18 years, during which time the warming of surface temperatures temporarily slowed down but have started picking up speed again. The latest version of the NOAA method to adjust the temperatures made the slowdown a little smaller, and that didn’t sit well with Lomar.

Well, did the NOAA lower the temps on the graph or not?  It sure looks like it comparing the two, side by side.

QuoteBefore delving into the new study, it’s worthwhile to revisit the temperature adjustments that Lamar Smith disputes. Volunteers have been logging measurements from weather stations around the world for over 150 years, and climate scientists use that data to estimate the Earth’s average surface temperature. But over a 150-year period, things change, as the authors of this study explain.

Stations have moved to different locations over the past 150 years, most more than once. They have changed instruments from mercury thermometers to electronic sensors, and have changed the time they take temperature measurements from afternoon to morning. Cities have grown up around stations, and some weather stations are not ideally located. All of these issues introduce inconsistencies into the temperature record.

To find out how much actual temperatures have changed, scientists have to filter out these changes in the way the measurements were taken. Those are the adjustments under attack from Lamar Smith. They’re important, scientifically justified, and documented in the peer-reviewed literature.

When you two sleuths work your way up to the chemical ice nucleation and the heterodyning wave generation, I'll make sure you get seats at the big kids' table. There are sippy cups available for you. I'll make sure any burrs are sanded off, I don't want either of you to abrade your tender lips.

Yeah, you're right dude.  Ever since Jack Frost sold the plans to his ice nucleation weapon to the Chinese winters have been a bitch.

Here it comes sports fans: Single Player Obama Care.  The master plan is revealed.

Obama is in my fair state today attempting to revive his ill conceived, fradulantly promoted and irredeemably flawed ACÁ.  It  all becomes clear.  The Democrats passed Obama's plan with no examination, telling us that we would just have to wait until it is enacted before we know what's in it.  As was suspected from the jump, the administration new full well it was a turkey and would need to be rescued.  TA DAH, enter the government option.

Think I'm paranoid?  Recall that Jonathan Gruber is quoted as saying "The Stupidity Of The American Voter Led Us To Hide Obamacare's True Costs From The Public."  Also recall the many instances in which Obama reversd his policy positions on a dime for political expediency.  No doubt that his most dangerous deceit was his selling of the Iran Nuclear Deal which has been proven to be a total sham and nothing short capitulation.

Obama is a master at disguising his true intentions behind a veneer of practiced "cool" and a smooth delivery.  If you get past his stage persona and actually listen to what he is saying you will find his rhetoric is loaded with sophistries and specious arguments.   Moreover, when his plans and policies go pear shaped,  as they often do, he offers a remedy that he presents as the only alternative which somehow always seems to serve his ultimate aims.  His groupies call this political savy but most see it  for what it is: never letting a crisis go to waste.  I believe his humping a single payer plan is just more of the same.

Those of you who voted for Obama twice can at least claim that you didn't see it coming in that in his first term he was for the most part successful in hiding his inherent dishonesty and wilingness to abrogate the laws of the nation and the provisions of the constitution.  In Hilliary's case you know exactly who and what you're getting--more of the same and very possibly worse.  In any event you can be sure that she will continue to pursue the holy grail of so called progressivism which is of course socialized medicine.  Sadly, whether you are pro or con it's likely that, like Obama Care, you won't have a say say in the matter.

You're full of shit. Remind us again, what was the Republican plan to improve health care, when they had a Republican president in office for 8 years? Oh yeah, nothing. Zilch. Zero. Is this you holding the medicare sign?

You are the poster boy for the "low information voter" that dems depend on to get elected.    Did you ever hear of Medicare Part D which was a George W. initiative.  That actually helped people.  You may remember that Hilliary's plan when introduced in 93 was DOA when it arrived on the Hill.   It was overwhelmingly rejected by both Dems and Reps alike because it was just plain dumb.

The Republicans have had a health care plan in place for 5+ years but it would take a super majority for it to pass in the Senate and your hero Harry Reed has vowed to block it.  Do your fucking homework!

You obviously have a case of cranial-rectal inversion.  Maybe Obama Care can help you but I'm afraid that you are stage 4.

No actually you're the fucking retard. Allowing people to buy insurance across state lines does not constitute a healthcare plan. And that is the only bullshit that the Republicans are offering.

Look shit-for-brains, when you actually have a valid point to make, crawl out from under the porch and bring facts with you.  Otherwise just continue to lick your genitals.

C'mon douchebag. Tell us what the Republican healthcare plan is. Other than allowing people to buy insurance across state lines. Let's hear all about their great healthcare plan, which they never brought up ONCE in the whole 8 years that Bushtard was president. C'mon fuckface, enlighten us.

On the subject of health. Can someone explain why an over the counter decongestant spray (Beconase) costs about $13 in the uk, but upwards of $100 in parts of the US?

A friend was asking. I think he wondered if it was the insurance companies and pharmacies making a killing at the expense of affordable healthcare for all.

Yeah that'll be the reason. Republitards are perfectly fine with it too. It's called the "free market." "Free market" will take care of everything, according to republitards. The only healthcare "plan" they've offered is to let people buy insurance across state lines. They offered NOTHING for 8 years when Bush was president. Their "repeal and replace" Obamacare nonsense is bullshit, because they don't have any kind of plan to replace Obamacare. They just want to get rid of it and are perfectly fine if 20 million people lose their healthcare.

Yeah and that's what Obamacare was supposed to get a handle on.

Definite profit-making but also, like with defense of Europe, Japan, ROC, South Korea, shipping lanes, etc, American taxpayers pay more and others get for less cost.

So (ha) now we are fairly certain that hackers sent Bitley links to Podesta, Powell and others which got them to change their passwords, thus giving hackers access to their accounts.
People this stupid think they are our betters and seek to rule us.

Because Beconase? Okay.

The cynic in me says its because the 'health' insurance companies and pharmacies in the US know they have a captive audience. Pay up or go without. A bit like smart phones. An Iphone for instance costs about $2 to make (yep, you read that right), and sells for whatever the 'must have' sheep will pay. However, a phone isn't essential. Health is.
