My favorite Dylan songs have been sung by other artists.... this is my favorite of all.... the 2nd is the absolutely finest example of story telling by another of the best...

Yeah, one of my favs of his too...but his version has some of the best finger picking.  ;)

The view from the famous Burbank porch on a rainy day. This song kind of goes with.

No Rush, is the magic over?
Oingo Bango song was featured in the hilarious Rodney Dangerfield vehicle "Back to School" that also had cameo by Kurt Vonnegut and an hilarious scene with Sam Kinison. And Ned Beatty and Adrienne Barbeau! Other good actors also. Fun movie.

Hey... if it's good enough for Walmart and having to fight through the Christmas stuff to get to the Halloween costumes.... it's good enough for me.... Happy early Valentine's day!

Heh.  Good song and sentiment.  I raise you:

Perhaps this is a vulgar display of power?

I too am sick of this election cycle...

I'd like to celebrate the impending official kick off of summer with this little ditty:

apropos de nada:I once worked for a commercial video cassette duplication/production company back in the late 90s, and we 'duped' about a thousand VHS tapes for his theatre in Branson, MO.  I had the honor of loading up the cargo van and delivering them (in addition to labeling, boxing and shrink-wrapping), quite the road trip.  I did not get to meet Mr. Williams, but his theatre was very nice.

RIP Andy, thanks for the memories!

I heard this song on the radio today and the squeezebox triggered my inner coonass.  I thought it was about WAR, apparently I really was triggered, apologies.

Cute. At least it took the bad taste of the Christmas music out of my mouth.  :D

I was going to post a Tom Waits tune that a co-worker tipped me off to today (I missed hearing it), and just discovered that it is a cover of a Screamin' Jay Hawkins song.

I am not a huge Tom Waits fan and after hearing them both I think Screamin' Jay gets the win:
