I am presently gripped firmly by an idolization of Sia, and have been utterly so without a glimpse of release for the past half a day. She is a musical genius. This video has 135,175,914 views, and for damn good reason.

I first saw her on SNL, months ago, and like all musical geniuses, I first thought, "who the fuck is this crazy fucker?" I sat through it and yearned to fast forward through it. Now, I'm about ready to go out and haul rocks for a temple.

Do we still do that? Let's bring that back.

*strokes hipster beard* I liked Sia before she was cool when she was collaborating with Zero 7. When she made it big on her own she started coming out with some weird Illuminati/pedo type videos and i quit paying any attention to her.

I found Zero 7 on www.last.fm years ago in their recommendations because i was listening to a lot of electronic, downtempo and trip-hop groups at the time like Sneaker Pimps, Air, Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, Boards of Canada, Shpongle ect... Sia's solo stuff is not very downtempo from what i have heard.

Some part of this is going to be my new ringtone. And I'd probably just be fapping to this, but I've been afraid of androgynes named Andrea since this one time at summer camp.

It's just as well.

Yeah, its good all right.  But I still like the LP version better.  Sounds a bit more hard core, don't cha know?  But really, it's just a matter of taste.  And I respect your taste.  Miss the dude so much, one year on.

I've long wished for an orchestration of this and can't believe it took me this long to find it.  Wish I'd found it for Christmas.  Bless you, anonymous Eastern-European scribbler, whoever you are.  The restraint and duration almost make it a seventh Brandenburg.

"La Folia" (a Renaissance theme reduxed countless times by countless composers), here: variations of same by Marin Marais, Corelli, and Scarlatti (all late 1600s early 1700s composers/arrangers/players), performed on Baroque (gut strung) Violin, Viola da Gamba & Harpsichord. That's a lot of music from just 3 players, a common Baroque chamber consort line-up! [thanx for the excuse K_Dubb and Gabrielle]
