You just aren't trying as hard anymore.  :(

I didn't write the initial post so I didn't want to answer for them.  This was what I was originally thinking though:

"Your denial of Trump's links with Russia reminds me of Boomhauser from King of the Hill.  You see loony conspiracies everywhere, while you don't even notice that your wife is cheating on you right under your nose."

Is that better?

Actually Dale Gribble is the paranoid conspiracy theorist whose wife was cheating on him.

This seems to be something you've also done before.  Whenever I challenge you and you can't come up with a response you write "I have to go now" and then you never get back to it.

I don't want to accuse you of that here if you really do have a response, and I personally don't care if you have a response or not.  I'm just beginning to notice a pattern here.

I did have a response but I wanted to clarify some things first and that was going to take time which I did not have last night.  First of all as I said, I would have preferred to have had gay marriage passed in the states rather than mandated at the federal level.  Second as I've said, I believe it should have been left to the legislative branch as that is the branch that is supposed to make law.  I will post what Justice Roberts said in his dissenting opinion on Obergefell.  I share his beliefs on this.

"Stripped of its shiny rhetorical gloss, the majority’s argument is that the Due Process Clause gives same-sex couples a fundamental right to marry
because it will be good for them and for society. If I were a legislator, I would certainly consider that view as a matter of social policy. But as a judge, I find the majority’s position indefensible as a matter of constitutional law... Allowing unelected federal judges to select which unenumerated rights rank as 'fundamental'â€"and to strike down state laws on the basis of that determinationâ€"raises obvious concerns about the judicial role."

With all of that said, the fact of the matter is what is done is done. I have always supported equal rights for gay couples. I would not seek or approve of rolling back the legalization of gay marriage.  That train has left the station.  I have no more to say about the issue.

I know I didn't post much but I was extremely busy last night with kids in the neighborhood and I like to enjoy Halloween for what it is.  It is my favorite holiday and a nice break from political rancor.  I had to gather my thoughts about what I wanted to write and I couldn't do that until now.

Donald Trump up huge in Missouri.

As Trump is confident he'll win (because if he doesn't, he'll drum up the white supremicists to take over the country, in that democratic, none despotic way, he knows so well), hadn't he better be putting ads in the papers and on the net/tv/ radio, to recruit all the many thousands of government workers and security agents to deal with the 2 million illegal immigrant criminals he's promised to deport in his first hour in office? Because he's not leaving a great deal of time to sift through applications, interview, short list, second interview, background check, train, train some more, allocate location and do the logistics.

He will just enforce our current laws and they wont be able to get jobs or welfare and they will self deport it's not hard to get rid of the majority of them. There will be stragglers that will have to be deported manually

But that isn't what he said. He said he would deport 2 million in the first hour. A pledge to his adoring throng of white low educated fans, who naturally cheered because they believed him. Basic arithmetic shows its impossible, but he said it anyway.

The current President said his first action would be to close Guantanamo. Why the sudden insistence on timetables?

I don't think you understand how governments that aren't monarchies actually work. I really don't.

Where in the Constitution does it mention that some rights are worthy of equal protection or due process and others aren't?

It sounds to me like your reading things into the Constitution that aren't there.

Get bent, Ponce.

No, you're the one who is advocating applying Constitutional protections were you pick and choose.  You can't be for that and then claim to support applying the Constitution as it was written.

So you say.  I'm doing nothing of the sort.  Frankly you are not worth arguing any further with.  You have a bug up your ass and I'm not going to scratch your itch.

This is the attitude I'm talking about. You're a gnat.  You scream to be noticed.   If anybody else were to ask, I'd answer their questions but you are simply rude. My patience has run out.  I refuse to converse with you any further.
