I don't doubt that estimate.  There  would be small enclaves or pockets where the survival rate would be much higher--probably rural areas where clean water could be found, fish and game were availabe, gardens could be grown, wood for fuel, etc. People in large urban areas would be well and truly screwed.  Some preppers would be okay if they coulld protect their provisions from human scavengers.  It sure would change our priorities in life.

Sure would. There'd be no cable, Burger king, queues for the latest iphone three days before its release or faceberk.

A truly brutal existence--snowflakes might not have their "safe places," coloring books and Frappucinos.  The horror of it all!

Read yesterday the mayor of NY was authorizing the city to pay the legal bills of people caught here illegally.

I am certain these guys will appreciate that.

As far as I'm aware not so much a protest per se, but just a get together to publicise that despite what Trump and his ignorant cabinet say, science actually matters.

We all know you have a penis obsession but you should get schooled on trucks. A 1500 is a 1/2 ton cuck wagon, what you want between your butt cheeks is a big black Ford F650 6 Door.

You think Trump's assertion that climate change is a Chinese plot to undermine the American economy has validation then?

Then there's the defunding of research..

Well you do naturally, because you wouldn't know which way up to hold a woman.

That will explain why the FBI, both houses, and now the Pentagon are investigating Flynn and others. The laughing stock aspect comes in because Trump sends Spicer out to try and spin a silk purse from a sow's ear when he's presented with awkward questions.

You'll let us know what the results are...if there are any...ever.  :-\

You're asking which system of governance? Hypothosis I suppose? One that treats everyone with equal respect, and doesn't elevate politicians (especially the incumbant leader) on the level of gods. They should all be answerable and not use position to either tread on the people or to escape answering their own failures and misdomeanors. Neither should said leaders hide, obfuscate or use nepotism.

How do we do this? Once elected, many office holders become 'career politicians' and are able to build a system of support around them. Then the concern is more about re-election, fundraising, and quid pro quo with special/corporate/foreign interests.

Term limits has been suggested many times but you will never get Congress to agree to it. The voters could limit their terms but they don't seem to have the will to do so. Especially those who look to that candidate as a source of resource transfers for their benefit.

As far as abuse of power, hiding wrong doing, obstruction, and lack of action- look no further than the media. Our journalists are not objective and the media is dominated by the left. They either fear for their careers or willfully act as operatives for the preferred party. They fail to fulfill their traditional role. This is why alternative news sources are on the rise.

Nepotism is rife on both sides- siblings, spouses, children are given six figure salaries and that should not be. What about the close ties between the members of last administration and the media? There were quite a few siblings and spouses. Conflict of interest? I think so.

Quote
And for every pledge they make on a campaign they should forfeit 10% of their total wealth if they backtrack or fail to deliver, per pledge, per each member of that party's governance. E.G. 100 members plus leader. Each pledge lie in office is 10% each of their total wealth. Going into the coffers to provide for all except those 110.

I need more information for this one. Let's use for an example, Trump's promise to build a wall. How far down the chain of command does this penalty go? Governors, mayors, dog catchers? Anyone who is a member of the same party?

Look at the activist judges blocking our president's Executive Orders- cha- ching!

If a candidate makes a legitimate campaign promise and has the support of their party, but is unable to fulfill this because the opposition party blocks it, refuses to fund it, or the promise turns out to take longer than projected- the president and X number of party members are forced to forfeit ten percent of their wealth?

After you confiscate this money- where does it go? Does the opposition get to dip into this slush fund? Do you cut a check for each voter? Wouldn't this be an incentive for more obstruction and encourage people to work against the candidate for profit?

Wouldn't this guarantee that only the extremely wealthy, well connected, and corrupt are able to run for office? Who else would be willing to take this risk?

Interesting post, Pud- but this does not sound like a Representative Republic or in keeping with our constitution.

He is probably making "Refugees Welcome" signs with a diverse group of people!  After that they will start a fund raiser to build more mosques in Britain and also raise money for a defense fund for muslims arrested for terrorism related charged.
