That may be the most objective observation I've heard you make.  In my mind, the purpose of a news broadcast is to inorm not to influence.  Analysis and opinion are fine as long as they are labeled as such.  The news readers through subtle and not so subtle means (voice inflection, facial expression, line of questioning, etc.) freely communicate their personal judgement or that of their network which  of course is opinion.  Their obvious attempts to shape the news has obliterated the line between fact and opinion.
