Did anyone experience broadcast 'outages' last night?  It was broadcast without interruption where I live.

VtaGeezer

Outages?   Add an "r" after the "t" and you'll get more responses.

The C2C website has finally posted a write up on JBW under Hosts tab.

Sometimes I wonder if 'Webmaster Lex' is among/st us, anonymously venting his frustrations with the noory regime, but also occasionly going 'they're right, I must get round to fixing such and such'

hmm I guess Michael V would be prime suspect?

I picture Lex sitting in his room monitoring the news, and CoastGab.. quickly clicking alt+tab when Noory enters the room.

Nonetheless, I checked the Coast page tonight. Wells' page seems to  a bit off. Some HTML errors, the image is not in the body of the text but instead a break right after has it messy looking.

I didn't know that Wells did the voice for Craig Kilborn. That is cool.

I'd also like to hear some of his music. That would be interesting.

The cars from last night's train wreck will take a long time to clean up

Just this once...Just this once I'll agree with Bushwhacking Soros tool, Russ Baker.  It does suck that they decided to censor the twitter in certain countries, and the possible connection between that and the Saudi prince who purchased a large piece of the company. Maurice Cotterell sure can get complicated.  I'll look him up on youtube and see if he's any easier to follow with visuals.  There was a moment is the show when Wells was throwing a bunch of words together and I got the sensation he was saying something.  It didn't last long.  Heck, he's a good guy.  I don't think I have the energy to dog two c2c host.

..it was notable last night, Wells signed off for the 'ship' and announced himself as the cook of the vessel. I think that was funny..
Wells has some great lines. I just wish the 'three hour tour' of his guest didn't go off into so many distant ramblings. It was confusing.

I don't know if it's the rambling, or his voice, or a combination, but I can't ever seem to stay awake through a Wells show.

Saturday nights with Ian I was almost always awake and interested all the way through the sign off.

But then I'm an insomniac.  So maybe Wells' value is a cure for insomnia?

I have to disagree. For severAl reasons: Kilborne is a tool and jbw is also a tool

I've noticed that while Welles' voice doesn't sound quite so ridiculously and unlistenably modulated lately he does seem to be trying to imitate Art's cadence.

I can tell Wells is trying to mold his performances, but all his long pauses before he can think of his next word are painful to me.

Not to mention that I'm not really the Bible-thumping audience he's playing to.  :-\

Yep, doesn't seem like your cup of tea.

I could only listen to about 30 minutes Saturday, but that was enough to recognize another unfolding wreck.  How long before PremRad recognizes the deep voice don't mean sh*t if it ain't connected to a brain.  Maybe they should have looked for someone who actually did a radio interview show without training wheels.

If we substitute "nice-guy schtick" for "deep voice [schtick]" in that question, you'd be talking about Noory.  In that case, one obvious answer is "9 years isn't enough."
Which also represents 9 years of proof that PremRad ain't looking for competence (as some of us define it).  They're looking for shills, and have found them.   Stop looking for improvement, folks; this is "the new normal."   PremRad is counting on brand loyalty; so just forget that this unfolding wreck (saith Geezer) is called "Coast to Coast."

Wells is doing ANOTHER government conspiracy 9/11 program tonight.  UGH.

I wish he'd stop becoming the one spoke wheel of lunacy. Give us ghosts and aliens... I've heard all there is to hear on this stuff from alex jones

well, yeah, why torture yourself with something you're not interested in.

I stand corrected . I am thoroughly enjoying the show tonight and learning something I didn't know

Wells is back to sounding like he's talking from the pit of a scrotum.

Are you going to listen to the whole show, or just until you get sick of hearing his voice?

ENOUGH OF GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACIES ABOUT 9/11!!!!!

I don't go for the "truther" thing, but Susan Lindauer is the first person I've heard who sounded like she knew what she was talking about. Then I did a search, and it turns out she's nuts, and the "Jewish/Zionist" thing at the tale end of her segment didn't help her either. Philip Marshall was run-of-the-mill-bush-deranged.  No proof Osama, or Khalid Sheik M., had anything to do with 911, or the first Trade Center bombing? There was a video out showing Osama talking to a one legged guy, telling him that he (Osama) had given a heads up to his associates to "have their tvs on" on September 11. Peter Lance (who is way over due for a c2c spot) can go three hours straight with all the connections to Khalid Sheik and the first bombing, as well as 911.  The moment he started defending Dan Rather's cheap, career ending, shot at W. before the 2004 elections, I knew he was a two bit operator  Wells' verbal gymnastics firmly placed him on...all sides of the issue.

And folks should consider your judgement there when reading your other politically-slanted posts.

And that is different from any of the other politically slanted posts on coastgab how??

Valdez is allowed a POV, like anybody else.

Of course he is.  I was just yanking him exactly like I would in person.  I like almost everything in his posts, other than the sotto voce politics, and I can live with that.

To answer your unintentionally-ironic rhetorical question:  It's NOT too different from most "POV"s in here.  That's why I shook the tree....

Would you ever jump to the defense of my left-wing "POV" ?

...let's all step back and see what the politicalization of "Coast" via Wells does to us.  "Ca.. can't.. can't we all get along..??"

I'm not a Wells defender.  If you check my posts, you'll see I gave him a chance, then essentially declared him a failure--but based on ineptness, not political viewpoint.  I'm not really looking for someone to agree with--I'm looking for articulate, intelligent discussion.  Don't agree with Knapp or Ian half the time when they venture into the political realm, but I find them both intellectually stimulating.  And I make it a point regularly to read and listen to political viewpoints that oppose mine, believing as I always have that it's important to spend as much or more time understanding the opposition as those who might be in lockstep with my views.

That said, you don't really know my political views.  I simply heard a tinge of what I too often find in the far left in your original comment to Valdez, a rather smug reminder to others that he was, of course, giving some sort of "skewed" and therefore suspect rendition that other coastgabbers should be wary of.  I found that rather insulting both to Valdez and to a very bright group of posters, all of whom appear quite discerning enough on their own to understand other posters' POV most of the time.

If that was not your intent, my apologies for making a hasty judgment.

Edited to add: this is why the political stuff ought to stay on the politics thread Michael created. In. My. Opinion.

valdez

Sometimes the shows are so politically charged that it's hard not to comment on it, yet I try to be mindful, and realize that politics may leave reasonable people at each others throats.  Thanks for standing up for me, Bones; and yeah, Ben, folks should take into account that my slightly right-of right-of-center view on things may skew my thoughts and reviews.  It's a beautiful Sunday.  Lets go get a piece of it.

I can't listen to him for more than a few minutes when he's doing his barbershop quartet thing . . . longer when he's more moderate in timbre.

VtaGeezer

Lindauer struck me as a babbler; she generalized and offered nothing to back up her assertions that were little more than opinion.  Her claims to be a CIA "asset" and that the govt offered her millions for her silence seemed to be pure bullshit.  And I thought she was scheduled for the first HALF of the show.  Did Wells decide at the bottom of the hour that she was spinning her wheels...and his, and tell he'd cut her loose early?

I faded soon after the 2nd guest came on, but he was less ideological and seemed sincere.  I'll listen to the replays later.
