...Therefore, I think it's better for all concerned if I take a little break from the site. ...

Cam I don't know what mysteries are afoot here.  Whether your account got spoofed or whether some inebriated faux pas occured, I think most wouldn't hold it against you.  Your posts may be sometimes esoteric, but to me they're always entertaining and even occasionally illuminating.  Hope you don't stay away too long.  Also btw there's nothing sacred about the movie thread - I recently gushed there about my love for the cheesy 1980 classic "Flash Gordon".

I would like to draw your attention, and I'm sorry to see the dispute involving the Camazotz Automat, but I would like to point out that there was once a Camazotz Automat posting here from an alternative universe.  It may have even been the evil mirror universe, I can't remember.  For all I know he is still the one posting.  Not to make light of the current situation, but perhaps the alternate Camazotz Automat is making hit-and-run posts on this forum.

Take care of each other and keep looking to the skies!
Cicadas don't bug out in June.  They aren't even June bugs.  Magicicadas only come out every 13 or 17 years, so don't even think about those.  Let's all just hang here until July and see what happens then.

Not Gary Collins

David Lee Roth...I see why the solo career didn't take off.

I saw this ad on the bellgab adsense (below).
"It's like the Messiah on steroids"
This is the kind of message that people feel communicates with audiences. Either that or they think I am using steroids.

Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time, before we were born.
If someone asks, this is where I'll be.

This is a random thing, but not so stupid.
About the recent Ebola problem, most sources say it started by a young boy and a certain tree containing infected bats.
I have no reason to doubt that, but I watched a NOVA program that elaborated on that a bit.  The program said there had been several outbreaks of Ebola in Africa, but none had been so widespread.  What made this outbreak so different?
The program said there was a Catholic program, run by nuns, that treated pregnant women.  The women came from all around, got vaccinated, and went home.  The needles were NOT STERILIZED.  The women carried the disease home to their villages.
This is a horrible thought, but it comes from what, to me, is a reliable source.  It might also explain why, as we often hear, the villagers do not trust Westerners and say they are the ones who are GIVING them the virus.  It explains why there may be a reason behind their suspicions.

I have never heard another source make that statement, about the nuns, but it makes sense.  Yes, I'm sure it was accidental and done out of ignorance.  This makes me take more seriously the claims of Mother Theresa refusing free medicines and doctors for her clinics.  People could have been saved, but she refused treatment saying suffering was pleasing to god and ennobling.  She would just raise money and expand the number of beds available on which people were left to die.  Sheer Ignorance!

Yes. It's one of the reasons why the Catholic Church thrives in countries where abject poverty is the norm. Those who are dirt poor are easier to manipulate because they lack education, good health, good nutrition, good sanitation, good housing and all the things most of us take for granted. Tell em 'God' will save them; what have they to lose? They have nothing to compare it with.

I find it surprising that these things were not made public knowledge, especially when NOVA aired it.  Instead, the news seemed to have been stifled - and there was an interview with some doctors who said they were insisting that Mother Theresa allow them to treat patients for free because they did not have terminal illnesses, but she just refused and allowed them to die.

Now, every time I hear a broadcast about the villagers saying the West brought Ebola to them (even on VICE), I can understand why they are saying that.  THere is reasoning behind such comments, they are not the product of ignorance.

Was searching for an old show and came across this thread. I didn't realize there was such vindictiveness in one Party for Art Bell.  >:( It does seems however, we all can agree that GNS  ;D

Worse stuff is on Godlike and Workbench. That's all pretty tame.

I just went and reread some of that Workbench stuff-far worse than I remembered.

Never heard of workbench but likely won't be going. Have read a few on godlike but those guys seem to be of the "both Parties all the same" and "controlled by the joooos, reptilians, UFOs, take-your-pick etc"

Midday movie full of nudity, sex scenes and raunchy content â€" Channel Seven’s bizarre choice

Quote
FULL frontal nudity and sex scenes are probably the last thing you’d expect to find on television in the middle of the day.

But that’s exactly what greeted viewers on Channel Seven yesterday, with the broadcast of a raunchy teen flick from the 1980s.

The cult classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High, starring Sean Penn and Jennifer Jason Leigh, was the network’s midday movie on Thursday.

I was at the dentist in the waiting room reading an 8 year old National Geographic magazine when the elderly lady next to be let out an audible harumph. I looked up and giggled like a school girl. True story.

My e cig is smoking itself tonight.  I'm not sure if this is a First World Problem, or a Paranormal Experience.  The button has to be pressed for it to fire.  It's firing randomly, then wisps of smoke curl up as it stands vertical on the desk.  Pretty damn cool.  Weird.  Short in the battery?  Nah.  It's aliens.
