Anybody following that Elliot Rodger story -- the kid who shot six (I think) people in Santa Barbara? I started reading his manifesto and couldn't put it down. Sadly, the kid was a decent writer. He could have published this thing as a modern-day twisted "Catcher in the Rye" and probably would have gotten the fame, money and women he wanted.

The kid was a member of a forum called PUAhate -- pick-up artist hate -- for men who can't get attention from women. They call themselves "incels" â€" "involuntary celibates." After the Daily Mail published a link to this thread, they had to kill the whole forum today, but it lives on in Google cache:

Wow.  I'm familiar with the story on how that site was founded.  It was founded as an offshoot of the Barry Kirkey Radio Show by a sleazy fuck named Nicholaus.  It was made up of people who had spent money on books and seminars when the "pickup" industry took off in the early 2000s.  Guys who studied all that stuff, never got any better, and fed off of each other's failure and negativity.
